HOWEVER, as I told an LSU poster in another thread, playing these rivalry schools mean more to us with them than those without them.

4 games every two years. Play them if that is what you want. It is really a non factor in the big scheme.

I know it's tiring to reinvent the wheel and retread old ground, but in evaluating these ideas I keep coming back to fundamental questions.
What is the purpose of the Southeastern Conference?
What should a conference set out to do?
Why do you want to move Auburn to the East? What problems currently exist that this move solves? To answer that you need some kind of philosophy as to what a conference is supposed to do, so you can evaluate what it currently actually does against what it's supposed to do, and then finally figure out if specific policy proposals (moving Auburn to the East) solves them.
