It’s a movement MT @andersonjohnt: As of today, I cancelled @DIRECTV and signed up with @dish solely for @SECNetwork and @AggieFootball

If Comcast does not have a deal with the SEC Network by August 1st I am not paying my bill. I am switching to someone who has the Network.

What kind of service provider plans to screw over that many people? Something has gotta be in the works

If you can get U-Verse in your area I recommend that. Went from DirecTV to U-Verse a few weeks ago and love it. Only downside is it doesn't have MLB Extra Innings but that's what MLB.TV is for I guess.

Can't wait for the herpderps to come here and post about how NFL Sunday ticket is more important than tSECN

Had Direct TV since 2002. I moved last week and signed up with Verizon FIOS because they have a month to month plan. Direct TV did not.
I would like to return to Direct TV but In mid-August I am going with a provider that carries the SEC Network.
Don't mess with Texas and don't mess with the SEC.

One of the major providers decided to take the SEC Network offer causing a domino effect. Now the SEC Network is upping the price on the providers that didn't sign up early.

Does anyone know if U-Verse service is better than Cox? I'm thinking about making the switch solely because of the SEC Network.

Good topic. Op may want to be more specific in title so it doesn't get whacked

Can't say as to Cox, but I can tell you that I like U-Verse much much better than Time Warner.

I find that from a service standpoint, they are all pretty bad. I had a friend that had some issues in getting U Verse installed but after that it was ok.

I can't speak for Cox, but I've had U-Verse for a few years now and I have never had any problems with it. Only reason I will be switching is to get Google Fiber.

Yep google fiber is getting installed in my hood this month. I will be doing their internet for sure. I still have directv but if they don't pick up the SECN I will put it on vacation mode until the contract runs out and go with google tv too.

AT&T is trying to buy Directv. I figure Direct will try to trim fat to make themselves more attractive, so I honestly don't see Directv picking up the SEC Network.

Same here. Except I'll pay my bill, then fire them.
