I guess one could argue that UF is no longer capable of competing at the highest level. I wouldn't agree with that person making that argument but I wouldn't waste time trying to change their mind either

Right now it's certainly a symptom IMO. I wouldn't go as far as saying Florida is no longer capable, but if things continue the way they are going, could Florida see a Tennessee like period of mediocrity?

Obviously Florida has advantages Tennessee didn't, the biggest thing being instate recruiting. Florida also has to deal with FSU and Miami though, so who knows. Do you think Foley will try to make a move this year, like another Florida fan said?

Or is it too early to pull that trigger?

It's too early. Our mouth breathers will rant and rave about hot seats but you don't do that until next year.

The QB situation is bad. Our version of QB savior is coming next year but he'll have growing pains like all FR in the SEC.

Points of concern are OL and that coach and DL recruiting. We'll need to change OL coach this year. He'll probably retire. I think he knows what he's doing from a technique point of view but he's no recruiter at all.

I'm not down on Nuss like some because when we have a decent QB he's looked OK. Some Gators already hate Nuss but whatever.

What I didn't like last week was tightening up the offense after the half trying to hold on to the win. UT is too good for that. It was on the road. Let the ball fly and play loose. We didn't do that. It reminded me of your coach which, no offense, pissed me off more than anything. We did nothing in the second half against a good team that desperately wanted to win.

I'm not taking anything away from UT. They whopped us in the second half.

We need a ball buster force on O.

Mac, Nuss and the OL coach are too nice.

Know that feel. We retained Elliot who has been our OLine coach for a while. Literally no excuse for our line to be as bad it as it is but it's awful. We can never get into rhythm on offense because of it. We have fans ready to fire Roper because we can't use most of our playbook and we have so many freshmen. But our line should be one of our strengths and it's awful.

Elliot is the only holdover from the Spurrier years. I know you guys aren't a fan of Roper, but I'm willing to give him more than one year. fricking Elliot has had several. I will be highly upset if Elliot isn't canned at the end of the year.

Mushamp, for all the shite that he gets, he's not doing terrible. We're recruiting at a high level, which I'm aware Florida fans have warned us about. Recruit high level but never results to wins. I'm just hoping he learned something still. It won't be this year. Waaaaay too many freshmen across the board playing to have any kind of real judgement towards Boom, yet.

Our recruiting class so far has me excited though, if nothing else.

That 11-2 season for Boom was probably the ugliest 11-2 ever.

Because last years Florida team was better? Take away the cheating QB and does Florida even make it to Atlanta?

That's not what I was saying nor implying. In '12, the Gators had to rely on blocking a punt and returning it for a TD to beat ULL in the last minute. They won an ugly, boring game over Jax State, think they scored late to win 20-0 to make it sort of resemble a blowout. They were the most unwatchable team in the country, IMO. And the. They got their shite pushed in in NOLA by Bridgewater while all they cared about were late hits and thuggish it up for the cameras.

Starting with the Vandy game last year and throughout the rest of the season, that was UF 2012 in a nutshell.

Espn recruiting is trash. I don't give a frick about participation trophies. No one gives a damn about the guy that owns 15 fiestas but they'll ask about the Ferrari he was given and slammed it into a wall.

I don't know anyone that hated Roper IRL. UT fans created doubt with their assessment that he was nothing but a water boy for Cut.

I had hope for him and Muschamp until it was clear that it just wasn't going to work.

TJ. I don't read your posts. I only tell you that so you don't waste your time responding to me.

Between you and montanagator there's enough negativity to overpower a school bus full of competition cheerleaders. Not trying to make a dig at you really.

And loads of luck.

And some bad as well. The program had a lot of momentum after the Ole Miss win and it all came crashing down after Grier was suspended. We still should have had better performances against FAU and Vandy, but the first half of the season is reason for some confidence. Last year and this year we've seen a lot of good when there is a capable QB starting the game.

Almost every single player on offense is a Mac recruit:
LDR
Franks
Appleby
Trask

RB
Scarlett
Perine
Cronkrite
Thompson

WR
AC81
Swain
Cleveland
Hammond

OL
Ivey
Johnson
Taylor
Jordan
RDJ
Heggie
Sandifer
Buchanan
Forsythe

The problems are either coaching, youth or talent. Imo it's a mix of all 3.
