I've joined in and ribbed you guys along with everyone else. It's been fun for sure BUT ...
I'll be honest. If I'm an LSU fan, I have to be over the moon joyful with the direction of the program just based on all the melts.
When this happens like it has, this means everyone else is at least concerned about LSU being a great team in the near future.
There is almost always some truth that will manifest shortly from these things.

Im happy with the moves.
But im always cautiously optimistic.
You cannot guarantee championships. There is way too much that can happen for that to be guaranteed.
Too many good programs out there that have to battle for the title game. No one can actually guarantee against the field.
Lane is young and smart and can eval. That’s great. But will he get all ducks in a row? I think so. Will he make great pregame prep and later adjustments? I think so.
Will he have toughness as a prerequisite for new players? Hope so. But it’s not eve n game one for him.
He also needs two years (not four like you did in the pre nil era….its now or never) to get going. Any Tiger fans that want him fired after year one are just wanting donors to spend money.

Just hired the most exciting coach in the country. Win or lose it'll at least be entertaining

A head coach willingly leaving his playoff team during their greatest season ever for a team that just went 7-5 tells you everything you need to know about the LSU program.
It’s just different.
It’s just different.

Because fans on social media are a good measurement of what’s to come?

I think the potential is exciting. But, the truth is, LSU hasn't even completed its first signing class and we already have people proclaiming what the outcome of the first year is going to be.
