Charlotte NC is covered with Ohio State fans that have never stepped foot in Columbus. So there's that. Good try there ostrich, come up for air once in a while.

Weall have/had fun where we went to school right? It's all so subjective. For example, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else but UTK, and i'm sure LSU, OM, UGA, etc. fans feel the same way about their respective towns.

I've been to UA (3x), LSU (1x), UGA (7x), UVA (2x), and theyre all great, and all in different ways.

I'm lookin forward to OM next fall

Obivously anywhere will be fun if you have friends there that know whats going on. However, there has not been one single time, reguardless of the situation, I have not had a blast in Athens. Not even a UGA fan.

One thing I forgot to give credit to College Station for, their booze specials. At least 10'ish years ago you could get amazingly cheap drinks. Get drunk for like $10 at the bar.

Getting excited about Best Places rankings is so 1990s.

Oxford is 20 years behind the rest of America, so thread makes sense.

Definitely not Lexington. That place is a shite show.

Edit: Athens is pretty gosh-durned cool though.

No argument with Oxford being on the list. Prior to my visits, I assumed it would be a picturesque but quaint Southern town, i.e. Mayberry. The reality is that it is quite "hip" featuring a nice mix of shops, music venues, bars and nationally recognized restaurants.

I also like the fact that the locals have been successful in keeping out any chains on the Square. That's one reason Chapel Hill has declined as a town in recent years (although happy it still makes the list).

Congrats to state next year for becoming the 13th school in conference to reach at least 60,000 attendance in a game

Ann Arbor is on this list? Isn't it like 40 mins outside of Detroit?
