They definitely needed the SEC more…but if the future is super conferences…it’s not a bad deal for the SEC to lock in OU and TU for #15 and #16

No, what espn really needed was an excuse to finally disband the failed longhorn network. I think their ratings were lower than prime time cnn numbers.

The purpose of the LHN was never for ratings
Ratings were fine of course
The purpose was to control what Texas did when realignment started again.
They invested a lot of money into the school. Couldn’t just let them go to the B1G
