They just showed Kamara's jump and it looked like he floated for a second at the top.

Fricker left Bama because he couldn't see the field.

More than half his carries went for 3 yards or less in 2015. That ballooned to almost 60% in 2016, but it's still not very good.

No. But the difference between Hurd the year prior and the Hurd this season was visible from the first snap of the season. Hurd was never going to be a big gain runner. He never had the vision or top end speed but he had been solid the seasons prior.

Yea - Kamara is fast, but his best characteristic isn't his straight line speed. It's his shiftiness and quick twitch ability.

And he was trying to sabotage recruiting because he was buried on the depth chart.

Yea, his sins at Alabama were pretty heavy. However, he left, grew up at JuCo and from all reports figured it out at Tennessee.

It all probably worked out for the best.

He grew up a lot. Hell, he was team captain last season. He had every chance to say something negative about Alabama but never did. I think the most he said was that Saban was just a more button down dude and that he (Kamara) wasn't. He never blamed anyone tho and took responsibility for being immature.

Kamara being named a team captain instead of Hurd should've been a red flag to all of us imo

Agree. Not many folks admit their faults to themselves and overcome them like that, especially not as a 20 year old.

I root for the kid.

Of course, with that hair all in his face how could he possibly.

(Ok, I'll stop now, I'm just in silly Friday mode.)

I was a shithead as a 20 year old roaming The Strip in Tuscaloosa as a student.

But I'm mostly judgemental because of the kid Kamara was hosting when he pulled his shite. I thought we had that safety from Mississippi locked up.

LOL - I can't even imagine what would have happened to me if phones had internet and social media when I was 20 in Tuscaloosa.

I think he had a better support system at UT too and by that I don't mean the the university had anything different. I mean that TE Jason Croom's Mom had been a Mom to him in HS and had him back under her wings at UT. She drove up from ATL to be there the day he committed to us from JUCO and man was she happy to have him back in the fold. It's little things like that that can tip things when you have basically a good kid but maybe not enough support or direction while they find their way in the world.

We are lucky that we missed the smart phone revolution as students. The dawning of facebook cost me enough around 2004-2005.
