Well I'm not an alum either and you didn't call me out for that one.

Why would you leave early when beating your rival like that? I'd savor every minute of it

We beat Clemson, behind an incredible day by our All-American QB Jeff Grantz, but we beat Clemson 56-20 that late November day. That was my last home football game I witnessed as an undergraduate.
Basketball, we had another typically very good Frank McGuire basketball team that year. Alex English, Mike Dunleavy, Golie Augustus, Nate Davis who could jump through the roof, and then this little guy who was a reincarnation of Pistol Pete by the name of Jackie Gilloon.
I can't remember, but I think the last game I saw that year was either against Pitt or Fordham.
And then, in baseball, we went to the College World Series the year before, my Junior year, and we went again in '77, played for the National Championship both times, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember many games from '76 for some reason. I remember just about all of them from '75 and '77, but I cannot remember the baseball games in '76.

Buzz was wearing off and beating Tech like that isn't anything too special. Now if we were beating UF or AU like that I wouldn't leave.

I guess it is just Tech
But at least you were beating someone you remotely cared about. My last game (next season) is going to be UT-Chattanooga

What does Shaun Alexander have to do with the 2001 Iron Bowl? He graduated after the 1999 season.

1992. A pedestrian 37-10 beatdown of TCU at Kyle. Then we went to Austin for a 34-13 beatdown of Texas to cap an undefeated season.

1996 Iron Bowl (technically it was legion field; but we were the home team).
Damn I'm old compared to most of you.

My final home game as a student (and band member) was the 2011 LSU-Arkansas game, capping an amazing 12-0 regular season, the best I could have asked for my senior year.
Then my last game period as a student and band member was the terrible national championship in my own back yard. It took me months to get over that kind of cap to my four years.
I'm in the band at Bama and that was my first ever bowl game.

mine will be this fall against kentucky. no better way for my senior class to go out than a noon gametime against kentucky. we'll be at the bars by 2 probably which sums up my four years of georgia home games.

2012 A&M-Mizzou. Could tell it was going to be ugly after the first drive. I hold no animosity towards Mizzou, but they had it coming.
