Nice work. If only there were something to explain Vandy getting all the best players...

This was already established in the thread about best MLB all-star teams by college where Auburn was the #1 SEC school

Sorry that despite all of LSU's success in the sport y'all have a weak history of good MLB players

I don’t know about that. Bregman and DJ are both practically MLB all stars at this point. Aaron Nola just got a fat contract. Back in the day (before I was born) we had Walker and McDonald and others unless Gausman got moved down he is still up there too. Do you have the link to the list I would be interested to read it.

Yeah, LSU's current crop is certainly good. But y'all don't have any hall of famers yet, correct? Kind of surprising. Who would you say is LSU's best MLB player to date? Albert Belle or Brian Wilson?

Here's the link btw: LINK

Arkansas at #14 and Auburn at #10 are the only two SEC teams on the list (it's a too 15)

Luke Hochevar was the #1 pick of the 2006 draft, please revise this and add VOLS

Fantastic catch.

BA has him listed with an Independent league team after he sat out the year. But I'll add him to Tennessee.

I would venture to say by the end of their careers one of the current guys out there will be in the HOF. It’s possible they won’t be but that’s my guess.

Bregman and DJ will have a shot at MLB at their current trajectories. Albert Belle probably had the best MLB career of former players thus far.

I know Mississippi State had signage change on the outfield wall yesterday and put the number 15 for how many first rounds picks. Some were taken in the 1st round supplemental draft & competitive balance 1st round and I don’t know how all that works.

Hochevar was the winning pitcher in the deciding Game 5 of the World Series. It was the Royals' first championship in 30 years.

World Series Title, (winning pitcher in deciding game) along with Olympic Gold Medal and lasted 9 years in the Bigs...

ETA...not a superstar...but a serviceable pitcher, overall. There have been #1 pitchers taken who have never made it to the Majors. That would be a "bust" (i.e. the #1 picks from 2013 & 2014 as examples).
