i know you're just posting stats but there isn't a team in the league who would take middleton over beal. The bucks included.

top ten? at a position. I mean congrats???? If I was trying to build a championship lineup his name simply wouldn't come up.

Players have plenty of success at his age in the NBA.

He is an above average starter; not much else. We. can reconvene in 3 years if you would like.

Middleton was better than Beal this year. Much better.

Oh this is about winning a championship, I thought it was about the best possible SEC only lineup. My bad. In that case Klay Thompson. Or hell, since apparently you think Chandler Parsons plays in the back court, let's put him back there.

Yeah, players that are developing into stars. A handful of them at any given point. He's the youngest player at any position in the top 20 in scoring these playoffs btw.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess you don't watch much NBA.

Who would you put there?

He wasn't. And even if you think he was - again, not a single team in the NBA would take him over Beal - it was at the very least close. Even in PER, which like most index statistics oversimplifies the big picture, they're only separated by like a point. And Beal has played much better of the two in the playoffs.

To say he was much better is wrong. To say he's a better prospect is ludicrous.

Mo Williams is still the best bama has to offer. But he did drop 52 in a game this year.

Much better was probably too strong, but even after looking over some numbers I think it's fair to say Middleton had the better season. The TS% differential is big at the SG position and the effective FG% differential is big as well.

Not the better prospect but I think Beal took a step back from last season although he has been better in the playoffs.

I know this is non SEC but an all Wake Forest team would be good if they had more NBA players...

FWIW Beal is the best player in the gym right now. If he and Wall can stay together that will be a sick back court for a long time.

Not saying I have anyone that is better than him from the SEC. Was just saying that we would be lacking if he is the best we have to offer compared to other conferences.

Actually had season tickets in New Orleans for 4 years before I moved. You know the seasons they were extremely crappy. 2010-2013

Johnson and Rondo have both had good runs in their careers but neither currently belongs on the list anymore imo.

Johnson made the All Star team last year.

Wow. Beal was hurt a lot in the season, and he really stepped up his game in the playoffs.

Middleton was destroyed by Jimmy Butler in the playoffs in every game.
