Reading Al.com Mobile Register's Sound Off they are killing the guy,how can the paper print some of this shite. For three years he kept SEC DE's and DL's off of JPW,and now some of the fans would not let him take out their trash.Do not give me that loyalty dedication garbage,if he could have played he would have. Fans can get so besides themselves at times, the kid is doing what he thinks is best for him.If he gets hurt(Tyrone Prothro)then what, its a iffy situation at times. The School wins and sometimes the player even wins.I jus cant stand to see the Bama Nation rip the kid apart. Utah would have won Smith or no Smith.

Not all fans feel that way. I am grateful for what Andre did for us and hope he does well in his future. Some people need to get a life. When things go wrong, all some people know how to do is bring up the negatives and not think about all of the positives he brought to Bama football.

+1

Andre (or any other player, for that matter) doesn't owe us anything.

I'm not saying Bama would have won persay, but Smith would have reduced the amount of pressure JPW endured to not get sacked 7 times.

I don't know what happened and at this time, it's a moot point. I don't think we lost to Utah because of him; we were not ready to play and if the truth be known, the team thought they were too good to play the Utes. Saba knew how good they were but he couldn't get his team to buy into that. I think the team felt slighted to have to play them and thought it would be a walk in the park. Well, we have next year to look forward to and congratulations to the Utah Utes!!!!

Of course people are going to be upset with him for what he did, as well as the APPEARANCE that he directly contributed to the team's loss. I have to say, he has tainted his Alabama legacy with this fiasco, and it will be one of the things he is most remembered for because it was the last thing he did. Its just human nature.

This can't be a surprise to you, do you remember how much disdain the Tigahs aimed at a certain dismissed SECCG MVP? Now imagine he was booted right before a game that y'all ended up losing.

Nooo not a suprise, after the Tiga Fans dam near stroked out when J.Russ wore his Bama Boy chain to the NCG last year,he was erased from there memories like a dam etch a sketch.

I agree with you. I wonder how many fanbases have ever taken up a donation to give a player 40Million after he got hurt. People are so full of shite. I am happy for him and I would be doing the exact same thing.

I agree with the ladies and Scoop here. He came to Alabama in the middle of our mess and did everything asked of him. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he has a successful career in the NFL. And to cast blame on him for the Utah loss is bs. One person doesn't win a game and one person doesn't lose one. We got whipped on both sides of the ball and the only thing we should be saying about that game is congrats to Utah.

My dad was telling all along that Smith would never play in the bowl game. It all just seemed too convenient for me.
