That was the most random list ever...

Have to say I like your idea of putting up one of the Gators. But I think their strength was that they were so great together as a TEAM. There were a lot of former players in the SEC that had great individual performances.

Bernard should be on the list. He is the second most dominant player in SEC history behind Pete and is one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all-time.
He averaged 26 pts & 13 reb
He also only played 3 years, going to the NBA after his Jr. season, but he was the SEC POY all 3 years and was a 1st team All-American all 3 years. He led the SEC in scoring 2 out of his 3 years, the year he didn't he was 2nd behind his teammate Ernie Grunfeld.

Joe Johnson might be a decent 3. Better than anyone else that was in the OP.
Shaq and Pistol Pete would be on there too.

This is pretty close to what I would have come up with and I agree about the PG position. If we are just basing this on college play then Jackson probably would be the choice but Mo Williams is a pretty good PG in his own right and has had a better NBA career. John Wall will end up in this discussion in a few years.

Bernard King>>Charles Barkley in college

Why not? Are we looking only at their college experience or their career?

This is such a tough decision to make b/c there are so many players that could be suggeted. You have tons of Kentucky players from the 40s, 50s, and 60s that could eb mentioned. Ralph Beard was a 3 time 1st team all-american. Jamal Mashburn? What about Alan Houston...he's the SEC 2nd leading scorer of all time. Bob Petit at LSU...there's too many to come up with just 5.

No chance.
You want to put a guy that plays for one season as one of the best players of all time in the conference?

I'm going by only their college career.
If we're combining their NBA careers, a couple of more years like he's had, then I would put him on there.

I have to agree. If we are looking at college and only college, Bernard King deserves to be on that list over Barkley. 25 points and 13 rebounds a game? That's sick.

This, but maybe King instead of Barkley. He has much better college numbers.
