But yet there’s evidence out there that those people you suggested aren’t better. I just think you don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s ok though, it’s typical out here.

No there isn't.

None of those coordinators have anywhere close to the kind of defensive talent that Alabama has.

Again, not sure why you're getting so defensive over this.

Golding is clearly not considered a "great" coach in the coaching community so I found the hire odd, that's all. Saban has made it work, props to him, I just found it odd.

Don't get your panties in a wad over it.

So you're saying he is considered a "great coach?"

Interesting stance.

I don’t even know why I’m responding to you. Don’t have anything going on like you I guess. Tell us who who in the coaching community says what about him

Me either, to be honest.

I can't believe you're getting so defensive over a simple statement, especially when it's an opinion shared by many of your own fanbase.

I wasn't trying to "get" anyone.

I simply think Golding was an odd choice based on who the Alabama program likely could've hired for that position and you got very defensive about that for absolutely no reason.

Are you Pete Golding?

This is the year where we can objectively evaluate Golding as a DC. I mean he’s a young blue collar guy who has worked his way up. Not some spoiled legacy from a football family.

I’m sure he reminds Saban a lot of himself and he obviously has some wits about him to get promoted like he did. Not many coordinators have had that opportunity under Saban. He’s a La native who has recruited well and has a good track record at smaller schools. We’ll see what he has this year.

You're a well known Pete Golding apologist.

What's to apologize for? He ran the SEC & National champion defense. A defense that got better and better as the season progressed. With a full spring and fall behind them, there won't be a repeat of the Ole Miss performance.

I agree with you, I just thought it was an odd choice from the outside looking in.

It wasn't a slight at Golding or Bama at all, just an opinion.

We’re used to seeing the old Saban rehab carousel. I’m sure he’s appreciated being a mentor to some young blood.

I mean the "Greatest football team of all time" lost both of their coordinators and replaced them with Bo Pelini ans Scott Linehan

Orgeron and LSU's "hiring power" is quite a bit lower than Saban and Alabama's currently.

And those were both terrible hires, FWIW.

The stats tard. The same ones that say Alabama was the best scoring defense last year while being not good the year before. But I’m sure Golding hd nothing to do with it. I don’t work night shift so I hope you have a good night

Anyone can make an argument based on one year, hell, if we just look at 2019, I can argue Ed Orgeron is a better football coach than Nick Saban.
