I'm not going to do the research, but I doubt if more than a dozen FBS programs have accomplished a 12 win season.

Maybe you should do a little research before making shite up. This is just gump level stupid. There are 8 in the SEC. I can think of at least a dozen more off the top of my head.

Alabama is solid and there is no decline! Saban is a top 3 coach and I wish he would have never left LSU... Being SEC Champions does not define decline... Playing in the SEC West is brutal, then having to play in the SEC Championship, only to turn around and play OHIO State a couple weeks later is not easy. They will win or battle for the West every year... Not in decline.... TIFWIW

"Decline" is a term that only has meaning relative to a defined state.

Comparing the current Alabama team to:

a. The silly myth of ALABAMA over the past few years where we should be in the NFC East - DECLINE.

b. The gump fantasy of an Alabama dynasty from Wallace Wade to Nick Saban, with a few odd years of accidents/bad coaching/beating ourselves, but other than the best team in the nation every single year - DECLINE

c. The team that won 3 of 4 national championships - SLIGHT DECLINE.

d. The overrated, soft, cheating Gump Tide which only wins because of easy scheduling and dirty referees - HAVEN'T MISSED A BEAT. STILL ALL IN YOUR HEADS.
