in the first playoff game then kick a late FG to beat OSU who assaulted UGA in their first playoff game. NATTY number (WHATEVER AT THIS POINT) is in the books.

If Alabama backdoors into the playoffs a second time and wins, that will somehow shatter the minds of the collective non-SEC conference commissioners.
On one hand, they would want to expand the playoffs to get in... on the other hand, expanding to 8 would likely ensure that until Nick Saban leaves Tuscaloosa or some dramatic decline happens, they end up seeing Alabama in the playoffs...
Tough decisions. Could see them attempting something like expand to 6... exclusively conference champions from P5, then stack ranking for the 6th spot with priority to an undefeated G5 team or something so long as they had a certain number of P5 wins or wins against ranked teams...

I'm not seeing 2 SEC teams getting in this year unless there is absolutely a no doubter. If 2 SEC teams get in again, there will be serious talks about playoff expansion.

Only the SECC will make the Playoffs. The backlash the last two years has the Playoff Committee worrying about their future. The eye test is jeopardizing their 6 weekends at the resort.
