Every page of this thread is ridiculous. The opening line for this game was established by the best handicappers on planet earth. The initial assessment has to be right and nobody is right more often than the professional handicappers who establish the "Opening Line". Every professional handicapper in the world predicts Alabama will win a close game by a couple of points. Of the 40-50 posts in this thread 95% of them predict a Clemson win - and 50% of them predict a Clemson blowout. Looks like a lot of hope and hate.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed Tiger fans come January 2nd.

You, sir, are the dumbass!!! They set the line to try and get equal money bet on both sides of said line. They give 2 shits less about who they think will actually win the game.

Clemson will stop the run and Jalen just isn't good enough in the passing game to get Bama over the hump.
The reset of Bama football starts this spring. A complete new 11 on defense for the most part and Nick will have to resolve his QB situation. We'll see.

In my opinion, this Bama team is not up to recent standards. I see Clemson winning comfortably. It would be interesting to see if Saban starts the other kid at QB; their chances to win would go up.

The line opened as either a pickem or -1. That does not mean oddsmakers think Bama will win at all. It means they think bettors view the game as essentially 50/50 for either team.

Bama lost 7 players off the 2016 defense and all are starters or playing early in the 1st qtr of NFL games. Those that replaced those 7 don't match the talent of those 7.
