Hey good morning guys.

I got off work yesterday at 4pm and a buddy of mine that works here had damage to his house so a couple of us went to help out with the cleanup. He lives in a neighborhood behind the Hobby Lobby that was torn up bad. We went and helped and then were trying to find an alternate route out of his neighborhood and ended up a little bit in Alberta City off of University Blvd which was hit heavily.

I'm telling you right now, Tuscaloosa looks horrible. It's one thing to see videos and pictures, but when you see it first hand it's horrible. We saw cars on top of cars, cars in houses, houses ripped off the foundation. It's going to take so long for this city to recover from this.

I had my iphone with me and so I took some video when we were trying to find a good way out of the neighborhood. We ended up over in the Alberta City area off of University Blvd. I am trying to upload it to youtube now but it's going a little slow at the moment. I'll post the link when it's done.

Went walking through my horse pasture yesterday afternoon after work surveying some of the debris that had been dropped. The F4/5 that destroyed Hackleburg and Phil Campbell, Alabama skirted just north of Moulton, AL moving on through Decatur and up into southern Tennessee. I actually found a check written from Smithville MS, City Hall to the local USPS for stamps... My understanding is this small MS town was heavily hit by the same storm...

My sister designed the Houndstooth ribbon that you are seeing around and has created a few things to help. Here is a link to the Tuscaloosa Ribbon T-Shirts for sale. If anyone is interested, all proceeds are donated to the relief efforts in T-Town.

Well, we have our first confirmed F5 of the outbreak. The Smithville, MS now rated an F5. I think this may have been the same tornado that eventually wiped out Phil Campbell, AL.
