I just don't want to be in the way, really.

Hey Ross. All that I know of right now is there is a volunteer center setup on Skyland Blvd across from Walmart at St. Mathias Episcopal Church. There is a thread here somewhere that NYCAuburn posted with the information.

Love your avi.

As a former AL resident I am really saddened by this tragedy. Wish I could come and help. If our church sends folks I'm going to request time off and come if at all possible.

At this point there is a major fuel shortage in central Alabama. Even areas not effected are having to supply fuel for rescue operations. My advice is to bring in as much fuel and water that you safely can.

Carson Tinker was the only Alabama player injured in yesterday's tornado. He's fine and is in stable condition.

His girlfriend, however, was not so fortunate. She was killed in the storm.

I can't get to anyone using that number, I guess I'll leave a message.

There has to be some sort of volunteering service on Sunday.

I just heard on the news, that the death toll continues to rise. My brother-in-law was found this morning. Unfortunately, he was killed. He was in a store in Tuscaloosa when the storm hit. Everyone inside the store perished. The thing that makes me feel proud of him is that they found his body on top of a young lady and an infant that appeared to be three months old. I told my wife that maybe he was trying to shield them from the storm. This is a sad day and I hope that every Bama poster on here made it safe through the storm. I'm glad that Montgomery didn't get hit. We just had a storm with heavy rain that lasted about fifteen minutes. Thank God those sirens never went off. My prayers are for anyone whose loved ones perished in this storm.

Oh my gosh avondale. I am so sorry to hear of this loss. This stuff is really breaking my heart.

What store was this in?

A friend of mine in Cullman just said they are evacuating everybody for a week or more until they can get clean water running again.
