Weather Channel just said you could text to 90999 and it would donate $10. I'd just keep checking the website. Took me 30min earlier. Which is a goooood sign as far as donations go.

Don't donate to 90999. It goes to the main red cross fund. It's near 100% likely your money will never see Alabama. Donate to a local charity or the Alabama red cross not the American red cross.

I would donate local, that text donates to red cross as a whole. Yes is does help support somewhat, but is divided amongst the world. Try one of the links in the check-in thread. I just put one up for mid Ala. you can donate by county. Link for west Ala. is not functioning yet

I had a friend named Taryn that lived in there, but I dont remember a Britney or Carly. I was there from 05-07.

My daughter just visited Carson in the hospital..he said Ashley did not make it and they are reporting it on the news now. So sad!
