Praying for all you guys. So thankful that we in Arkansas apparently got off "easy" this time around.
So fricking pissed to see the Today Show and their elitist Royal Wedding bullshite. Not one mention of Alabama.

I watched over an hour of Today show this morning with almost nothing but storm coverage. Aim your anger somewhere else.

I watched a half hour with no mention. Several queers talking about wedding dresses and what verbage Kate Middleton would use during her vows.

Scarborough show with Joe Scarborogh an Alabama graduate had small clippings of the storm but it was mostly royal wedding crap.
I expect Tuscaloosa to get the full treatment next week. Andersen Cooper has already said he's heading down and I'm willing to bet Joe does as well. He currently has a two sons in school there.

Well I'm just telling you what I saw. Matt and Meredith stated that they wished they were back in the States. They had coverage from 4 different Weather Channel reporters and multiple local stations. So be pissed off somewhere else. Today Show did their job.

Kate has to go by Katherine after tomorrow apparently. Kate isn't high class enough.

Didn't see a sign of shortage in Hoover this morning. That was on the Alford Avenue exit in Bham.

That blew my mind too. My dad said they had a pretty good segment on the damage in Alabama earlier on CNN (before the Royal Wedding crap) so at least they covered a LITTLE.
Volunteer efforts start today at noon. People are meeting at St. Mattias Church by the Hyundai dealership on Skyland and they are moving out from there. That will probably be the hub for efforts for the coming days. This is absolutely devastating - but the community will rise up!
One of my best friends was in her house when it was blown away. My friend, her boyfriend, and her dog were all in the bathtub when the tornado went through and completely swept away her house. God was definitely looking out for them. She lives right behind the Krispy Kreme - so for those of you that know the area, you will know what I mean when I say that it is all gone.
Another friend was walking around after the storm and pulled out 4 bodies from the debris. I hate to say this or even think this - but I think it's much much worse than they are saying on tv.
There are still several other friends that I have not been able to reach....
I want to be there RIGHT NOW to help but I am going to wait until tomorrow after work and go down for the weekend. Tuscaloosa is my second home, I lived there for 5 years of my life and there is no way that I can sit back and not do anything.
GOD BLESS Alabama - and ALL other affected areas and states.
