I've seen some reports that a lot of the people who have been pulled out of the rubble have lost arms and legs. Watching the tornados form, and then seeing the debris fly up when you knew they were over populated places was sort of like watching 9/11 and Katrina. I was in tears because a few friends had texted me saying they could hear it, and then I didn't hear from them for hours. I still haven't heard from some people, but surely they are fine.

Sorry to hear all that Bella. I pray all your friends are ok.

Someone said they were having to pick up guns that had been tossed about by the storm.

Demopolis had some storms, but nothing like that... I think most of Demopolis is fine. My wife's grandparents live there as well. This was about 45 minutes to an hour away from Demopolis.

A lot of assholes in this thread. Glad to see some have been taken out. Those who continue to post incredibly insensitive material will be dealt with accordingly. My thoughts go out to all affected. Stay safe.

South La would have huge riots if they tried to have dry parishes or something like that, it would be way worse than Katrina.

Absolutely unreal. I used to live a few blocks from there on 15th street. Just complete deveatation. A friend of mine was at the express oil change over there when it hit. Luckily they all went to the underground pit below the building so they were alright but the building was leveled.

My ex-boyfriend lived near Forest Lake Baptist Church when he was in law school there. I think that whole street is totally gone.

So my dad has been trapped under a tree for about 6 hours now. My brother and cousin got turned away by the cops when they tried to get to that section of Pleasant Grove.

They are currently hacking through the woods with machetes and flashlights to get around the police. "A Country Boy Can Survive" is going through my head as I picture my bro out there saying "frick off, I'm getting my daddy."
