Which way is it headed? I have Family in Garner and Clayton.

Headed due east I believe. They said that it has started to weaken some. Last report was out of Haywood county which is west/north west of buncombe county.

The Tuscaloosa news has a slideshow of the aftermath along "15th St." Is that near campus, or is that an area where a lot of kids live off campus? I don't really know Tuscaloosa at all.

First time in a long time today there aren't any Tornado Warnings in Alabama.

this drive I have to take tomorrow will be interesting. I have to drive through those areas...as well as Tuscaloosa.

Best thing you can do is stay away. Tornado took out my neighborhood when I was younger, last thing the authorities and volunteers need is rubber neckers..

Really the southern border of the campus. quite a few condos built around there the past couple of years with students living there.

Don't know if it has been posted, but EMS officials in Ringgold, GA are requesting mobile morgues and reporting mass casualty and stuff like that. City is on lockdown.

Now this is pretty fricking scary..

A woman said when she came out of her basement after the tornado everything was flattened and there were 2 dead bodies just laying there in the open in her yard.

one of my friends from high school lives in T-Town and goes to bama. he said his apt got messed up really bad and a 20-21 year old girl down the street got thrown 200 yards from her closet and died near where he lived and he had to carry her to a truck to take her to the er. at the time he thought she was unconscious, but later found out she had been dead the whole time. hes a little messed up right now to say the least. unreal

Our local news is now reporting that the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa is being catagorized as an EF-5. Prayers sent to anybody in the area of that storm.

My dad just got to ttown. Not really anything that hasn't been said, just told me it looks like a bomb was dropped on the town. Said no way there are less that 100 casualties. Buildings down everywhere and people just roaming the streets. Very sad

You always see the pics from natural disasters of the churches or even crosses in the church that seemed untouched when everything around them is in ruins, however I haven't seen any pics like that from this one which is really scary in it's own way.
