Wimp and Sonny were both good coaches, not elite level coaches
That's a simple argument...Does Wichita Ks have fertile bball recruiting ground? yet he's been arguably as successful as any other coach in the country over the last 3 years save Coach Cal
The point is that with a coach like Gregg Marshall at Toledo, or Michigan, or Portland St, or Wyoming, or Alabama, it changes things for a bball program
It did the second he became the coach at Wichita St and they had great success
Why not at Bama?

I'm OK with doing that.

I guess you don't bball. Kansas turns out a lot of bball prospects. I would guess that Wichita State gets first dibs on talent that KU doesn't get.

I can show you at least 3 seasons where Bama won SEC Championships in both sports. 92 they won a National Title and an NCAA tourney game. Not to mention each sport happens in different parts of the year, so a lot more winning overlaps. Go to bed, kid.

Winning the SEC in basketball really doesn't matter.. Good try though... Hence yall didn't even make it into the tournament in 74...

Why not at Bama?
It makes sense.

This guy picks the weirdest ways to determine a good season.

Tell me 1 season that bama has won an SEC championship in football( not even a national championship)

I really feel that my sig quote involves you in it.. You gave me two examples over a hundred plus year span... The bad thing is the bball team won one game in the tournament... Oh and I find it humorous you're calling me a kid..

In 73-74, our record was 22-4.

Kansas is no more talented bball wise than the state of Alabama
You obviously don't bball. How many times has Kansas been in the tourney? Wichita State has been in the Dance 12 times since 1964. That State is loaded with talent.
btw...........Kansas has been in the Tourney 44 times. That is a hell-of-a-lot of times for a school from a State with as much talent as Alabama produces.

It's called moving the goalposts to try and fit a retarded argument. They must teach that shite at Auburn, though I doubt this dude has ever seen the inside of a classroom there.

Did you make it to the tourney? It doesn't matter if you were 55-1...

Your only arguments are usually insults, I believe you are the young man in this conversation...

Ok. Whatever you say. I'm done. This has gotten too ridiculous. We win the SEC, go 22-4, yet apparently we weren't good.

Every time bama does well in bball the football team is struggling...
This is such an idiotic tangent. Why in the blue frick does it even matter? Even if Alabama has never seen success in both sports at the same time, which has been proven false, it doesn't have a damn thing to do with what's going on right now.
Posted on 3/24/15 at 11:16 pm to MrAUTigers
This state's talent is severely underrated and when you don't have a big dog in-state school like there is in Kansas and guys are spread out and some guys leave the state, you get the effect there is on the hotbed areas like Bham and Mobile

In 1990, Bama went to the Sweet 16. That was the same school year they won the SEC in football. Same with 75-76. And all the numerous others other people mentioned. No hard feelings.
