I guess you didn't bother clicking on the link before commenting. That is the money Alabama has received after all revenue was divided up during that period.
My point is, it is not a reflection of the strength of your program. Most of that was on the back of KY, Ark and UF over those years.

Alabama is not an appealing basketball job.

I seriously question why Marshall or any coach would pick bama over them. Rick Barnes lured tons of highly regarded basketball players to Texas just the way it is now
Why some of you view Texas basketball in the light you do, I don't get.
Texas has only been but to 3 final fours. They may be a top 30 program all time, but that's it.

So a fanbase is only capable of supporting one sport? Is that a rule?
A fanbase can support multiple sports.
Alabama is not that fanbase.

Yeah, it's not like we constantly finish in the top half of the conference in attendance.

Top half is now something to brag about?

Get out if here with your facts.
Well I'm not sure if he's bragging Cas. Seems like he's clearing up a common misconception that UA fans only care about football.

I'd personally expect Alabama to be in the top half in attendance in any major sport considering how many crimson As I see everywhere.

I think it's hilarious that Bama fans think Saban is going to lure Marshall. Like UK fans saying Calipari can remind some big name football coach that he can win at Kentucky. See how silly that sounds??
And on the 7th day, Saban rested. Except we all know that's a lie as Saban never rests.

Exactly. When you Go Roll Tiders get upset that no one else thinks this is realistic, it's the same situation as when a Kentucky fan talks about how they have facilities (they do) and fan support (they do) in order to be a legit football power. It will not likely happen, because no one considers Kentucky to be a destination football job, and the AD will not support one over the other.
If Marshall has options, and he absolutely does, he's not going to Alabama.

I don't think its that big of a stretch to think Saban would help with the process. Coaches help land other coaches all the time.
Schools can be good in multiple sports, it's not against the rules. Arkansas has titles in football and basketball. LSU has titles in baseball and football. Ohio State and Wisconsin are good at both. Etc...
I just don't think Marshall is going to leave Wichita State, unless it's for a top 5 basketball power. My opinion is based on what's been said about Gregg over the last few years when he is linked to lower profile programs, like Alabama. Marshall has a lot coming back on his squad next season and he has a pretty good run going there.

Anyone comparing UK football to UA basketball is a windowlicker and your opinion is not to be taken seriously on any topic moving forward.
SIAP.

I appreciate the fact that Bama is at least trying to go out and make a home run hire but unfortunately for Bama (and in turn, the quality of the SEC), Marshall is well aware that he can land a much better job if he's patient enough to wait for it.
He lost one game last year and is currently in the sweet 16 with a team that will return nearly all of it's players next year. No offense to the fine folks of Alabama but no matter how much $$$ you throw at the guy, it really isn't worth it for him to make the move to Tuscaloosa.
