Enlighten us on why a coach would want to come to the bama bball program?

Why did the cheat want to come to Auburn, besides being out of a job?

This thread is hilarious! Bama fans are convincing themselves they are going to hire the hottest coach in college hoops. Lulz
Pal, you'd better hope he doesn't show up in Tuscaloosa or you'll have the board cred of Phan.
So what will the board cred of all the Bama fans be when you hire someone else?

Stop deflecting and answer the question..

All? I don't think even 10% of Alabama fans legitimately expect this news to be factual.

Money and power. In case you aren't aware, UA has a relatively proud basketball history. We can be consistent top 20 program when we keep talent in-state.

Anthony Grant was Is the same position as Shaka and GM. They'd be foolish to go to Bama, and prob won't. My $.02.

Grant has no one to blame but himself for not succeeding.

no offense, but only someone clueless of the facts would say such. CAG was a terrible fit at UA.
Posted on 3/23/15 at 10:17 pm to Sofa King Crimson
Bama is not in the top 40 in most NCAA tournament appearances and not in the top 30 in wins or winning percentage. If you call that proud history, you obviously have incredibly low standards

Any bball coach is a terrible fit... the facilities are wretched all the while the football program keeps getting bigger and better..yall should just follow in the steps of UAB..

We also have a winning record against every SEC team, save UK. It's all relative. Gottfried showed what was possible for a short time until he got complacent and started banging a student.

Bro, you cannot come on here and talk shite about UA basketball. You guys lost 20 fricking games with the savior. Pearl is a GREAT coach and I wanted him at UA, but even he will not be able to pull your program from the depths of hell.
UA bball at least has potential. The past proves this. AU has nothing.

Marhsall doesn't seem like the type where money is going to be the most important factor. After what he has built up at Wichita State, it is probably easier to win there than Bama.
He would be starting from scratch in a place with no naturally good recruiting base and has to play KY and UF every year. I don't really see any reason why he would recruit better at Bama after making Wichita such a good program.
So the only thing to me that is more attractive is the money. And I don't see that being a huge factor because a top 10 program will come calling in the near future if he waits.

LOL, check out what the delusional bama fan wrote on a Wichita State forum..

Not here to troll or flame, just set facts straight. Have no idea if Coach Marshall would consider Bama. But let's get facts out in open. Outside of Kentucky, Alabama is the SEC's most tradition rich basketball program going back decades. Alabama is second in the SEC in three big categories: All time wins, all time SEC titles, and all time home attendance. At one time Bama was second in sweet 16 appearances but pretty sure not now due recent drought by current coach. Bama's arena at one time was largest in SEC, third now at bit over 15k due to arena improvements at UK and UT. FWIW, so long and good luck to your team in the NCAA, beat ND.

We have a very good recruiting class coming in and excitement around our program. I don't give a shite what Bama does, but if you want to talk about Auburn at least know what you're talking about.
