Is this really a fricking thread topic? If they're equally effective, how the hell does it matter?

One consistently puts the defense in a position where it can succeed. The other does not.

I actually like Auburn's offense, but the biggest concern with it I would have is when Malzahn leaves, who the hell else can run it? It is so unique that there are not many qualified coaches out there who can keep the train moving. Bama's pro style recruits a type of player who can succeed with many other coordinators whenever McElwain leaves.

Apparently GM has a couple as assistants that know the offense very well...

Rhett Lashlee I doubt we hire him if Malzahn were to leave soon though.

When Malzahn leaves, I want a guy that runs the pistol, but also spreads it out..

Bama stopped itself in the game. Kudo's to Au for winning, but thinking Au had more to do with the loss than Bama did is funny. 390 yards and 24 pts in the first half alone.

We have had bama's offense in the past and the fan's bitched and moaned about how boring it was. How we would play offense so not to hurt the defense. Auburn won with that philsophy under TT, but all it took was a bad year for the offense to make the natives restless. If you lose, you do not want to do it by watching the paint dry.

Alabama runs Auburn's plays during the first half of the Iron Bowl.
