You don't understand the PFF do you? They damn sure aren't using lame arse stats like those LSU fans cite.
I noticed you didn't want to claim to believe the stats were accurate. Just skipped right over that part.
Tell me how you're a dumbass who thinks Kentucky has the best passing defense in the SEC and that no other SEC team has a passing defense in the top50
No of course not, only stats that make Mac Jones look good are accurate. All the other ones just show that this is an asterisk season.
To review, Kentucky can't actually be a top passing defense because the statistics aren't accurate.
Mac Jones is the best QB of all time because the statistics are accurate.

No, not silly, shows the difference in competition
What a team is ranked at the time of the game has nothing to do with level of competition.
Auburn was ranked #21 when we played them this season. Auburn sucked. They should not be a Top 25 win.
Georgia was ranked #3 when we beat them. It would be silly to refer to beating Georgia as a "Top 3 win".
Time of game rankings are dumb.

Unless you are just trying to point out how over-rated they were when you played them.
7 of 7 in top 10 at the time
5 of 7 in top 10 final rank
7 of 7 in top 25 final rank

Well, that’s bc they aren’t one lol

ones would have been on the bench his whole career if his competition was:
Trevor Lawrence
Fields
Burrow
M Stafford
C Newton
Russel Wilson
Philip Rivers
Lamar Jackson
The list would go on an on.
Burrow literally transferred because he couldn’t win the job at OSU over a guy who just got cut midseason. Does that have frickall to do with how good he is?

These matter, are legitimate and are damned impressive

I really really wonder how this year goes with a full spring, no opt outs, and a full schedule

I wouldn’t quite say that. Sure it’s not the most impressive but these are kids, the mentality to go in and beat 7 teams that were considered top 10 at the time can’t be understated IMO

Well, here is the PFF Too-Early 2020 Top 10
1. Clemson (made CFP)
2. Ohio State (made CFP)
3. Alabama (made CFP)
4. LSU (5-5)
5. Georgia (NY6)
6. Florida (NY6)
7. Oklahoma (NY6)
8. Notre Dame (made CFP)
Outside of LSU everyone else basically did exactly what was expected of them pre-COVID

They are raw stats that only dumb people consider legit.

So you truly believe Kentucky is the best SEC passing defense, and that no other SEC team has a passing defense in the top50?
I will ask you, all stats aside, are these SEC pass defenses not the worst you have ever seen across the board? YES or NO?
I have already said (it seems like a hundred times) that the teams in the top 50 don't mean they are better or more talented.
Those raw numbers against conference only shows that it's hard to argue that these SEC pass defenses aren't the worst we have ever seen.
If you look at it yourself and play around with the stats you will find that the SEC always has 5 or more teams in the top 50 in passing defense if you do conference only.

You do realize PFF has been highly criticized in the Analytics community. Only reason they are taken seriously is because Collinsworth is a part owner and it gets featured on NBC.

That's what kill their argument is most of LSU competitors pretty much held serve.

It really is funny how much the Burrow and the 2019 LSU Tigers broke y’all.
You guys were 5-5, lost to tGOAT team in TS by 38, and sat your asses home during bowl season. We’re going to the NCG while beating the shite out of everybody, and you think we’re broke?
You are quite retarded.

Great season -for sure. But, a pandemic year that messed up so many teams, didn't play ANY defense in top 50.
Lsu having the best season ever is eating everyone alive trying to 1 up it ... just can't take it !
Great season! Congrats

This just isn’t supported based on results against top offenses
We gave up over 30 points to a Bo Nix led Auburn in 2019. UF and OM both torched us this year, but otherwise the D played well; not great, but OK. I get that you don’t see it because you don’t want to. But when you just pick games against “top offenses” to judge, you are predetermining an outcome.

Well A&M did a lot better. Florida won’t be top 10
But preseason rankings vs finishing rankings is entirely different vs how those things could have affected individual games
Specifically the chemistry that is usually built in the off-season, lack of early cupcake games to smooth out issues.
I think it’s undeniable to say the way the season played out with no offseason heavily favored experienced teams like Alabama, A&M, and Florida over young teams like LSU
