I mean when OU turns you over on your side of the field and the Sooners don't have far to score 3 times of course you're going to have a lot more yards. Plus your kicker sucks and our's is an All American.

Yep, that's football. You can't have a 3-0 turnover margin and expect to win games against good teams.

But at the same time, I don't think you can really count on turnovers that way. So when I look at team strength, I look at how the ball moved and I think Alabama did well in that area. Better than I thought we would. We had 3 drives over 70 yards for TD in the game.

Meanwhile Oklahoma had I think 7 or 8 drives that started in their own territory and only 1 of them resulted in points, a FG attempt. That was your longest drive of the game, 41 yards. But you also capitalized on every turnover with the short fields.

I mean I'd feel a lot worse if you won because your offense racked up 400 yards and ours only racked up 200. And if it was the other way around and we had the 3 turnovers and won for that reason, I'd be happy for the win. But I'd also not be all that confident in the future because you can't count on turnovers really.

You won, and that's what matters for the playoffs. If you lose you are out of the picture completely. But from a team strength standpoint, I feel pretty good about Alabama even though we lost due to the turnovers. And I ain't gotta be sorry for it either.

Out coached and out scored, that's the story of "the best team doesn't always win"... Return yards, turnovers, and a lethal kicker beat you. Hard pill to swallow but they beat your arse.

Definitely not out coached. None of the things you mention have shite to do with the coach. It has to do with player execution.

Simpson just needs to not play the best defense in CFB.

Defense, no.

OU D forced 2 TO's (and another on ST)
Bama D - None
OU had twice as many sacks and almost three times as many pressures.

Don't get me wrong, Bama's defense played well, but the OU's Defense won the game.

Simpson does limit turnovers. You have a huge plus turnover ratio. Just didn't in this game.

No way we should have lost that game

Ahhhh, the old denial stage. Acceptance is near. Just keep working at it.
