You’re goddamn right
2001 will always be my favorite season because it just seemed impossible. So much went down that year.

You are a better man than me. I wanted to get those things out of my hand and get back to the pregame festivities. My negotiations were basically "How much do you want to pay?" (internal clock - will dad kill me? no?) "SOLD".

2008 is the same for me and similar to that year for you guys (which makes sense because of the common denominator running the show).

I never really sold any of those beauties - I was only given the shitburgers to sell.
Since I've had season tickets I've sold a few - but generally, I end up going. I did sell my 2015 LSU/Bama tickets for about $350 a piece (sat with my folks). Shipped them off to Gretna, LA - didn't feel the least bit of shame about it either

There is nothing like that rush of unexpectedly being great, especially after living most of your life in the wilderness.
I'm guessing there was a lot of that last year for you guys, though obviously the 2010s LSU version of the "wilderness" was more like glamping compared to most programs
Both of our original Saban years of greatness were truly the year-long boner of "how the hell do I handle this" followed by "oh shite, I dunno, we could definitely lose to Vanderbilt on the road next week" ghosts. My dad and I called it Shula Syndrome, and only in the last 3-4 years have I finally shook the nervous feeling at EVERY SEC road game.

I was on the field after we beat Auburn in 2001 after they stomped on the Tiger’s eye. That onside kick to START OFF THE GAME was so epic

It doesn't really apply but it's the first thing that popped to mind going through this thread

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, but it's a pretty good way to go through college.
