I think you are probably correct. Especially if Bama can run the ball. Indiana doesn’t give up much over the top so your going to have to sustain drives between the tackles.

There is very litter evidence to support that Alabama will be able to run the ball.

Alabama vs Top 27 defenses (ESPN FPI Defensive Efficiency)
Rank Opponent - Total Rushing, yards per carry; Lead Rusher

#27 Wisconsin - 72 yards, 3.3 ypc; Simpson 25 yards
#15 Georgia - 117 yards, 3.1 ypc; Miller 46 yards
#19 Mizzou - 125 yards, 2.8 ypc; Miller 85 yards
#26 South Carolina - 72 yards, 3.1 ypc; Miller 26 yards
#7 LSU - 56 yards, 2.2 ypc; Hill 21 yards
#4 Oklahoma - 80 yards, 2.4 ypc; Hill 60 yards
#24 Auburn - 158 yards, 4.2 ypc; Miller 83 yards
#15 Georgia - -3 yards, -0.2 ypc; Hill 11 yards
#4 Oklahoma - 28 yards, 1.1 ypc; Hill 43 yards

Indiana Rushing Defense: 77.6 ypg, 2.89 ypc, 5 Rushing TDs allowed

Locking in Alabama Under 80.5 rushing yards

They're gonna have to pass every down or miraculously find a running that works against the best run defense in CFB

I agree. Not because I think Alabama is good. But because I think Indy is soft and has no depth.

No, that game in September still counted. You can look it up

Yeah, the more recent game is more indicative of how good the teams actually are at the end of the year.

Edit:
Downvoters don't realize teams change over a season.

Who would have ever pictured Bama having a basketball team that would be favored over Indiana while Indiana is favored over Bama in football?

Indiana has the same type of players that Ohio State has.

Not really.

Indiana has 7 4stars on their entire team, obviously recruiting rankings aren't everything but there is a correlation between recruiting rankings and on field success.

It isn't like Indiana has bought a lot of top talent in the portal that the blue bloods were trying to land, outside of Mendoza.

Well if you see them in person, you can tell that they have what it takes.

Plus there is that chart about percentage of roster that is portal and I thought Indiana had the most portal players.

So they probably have a crap ton of experienced players.

They do have a lot of experience. I think their talent disadvantage will eventually catch up with them though.

Having a great quarterback can mask some of that though.

Yep. Bama is battle tested. No argument there.

I was just speaking to talent comparisons.

The Hoosiers are well coached and disciplined.

7 points is a good spread.

Which position group matchup do you think strongly favors Bama?

Receivers for sure.

My issue with Alabama is they can't run the ball, that makes games like this so much tougher.

Bama has good receivers.

Indiana has 2 secondary players with All American recognition.

And numerous other players are all Big-10.

Indiana also has good receivers and a good running game with multiple backs who carry the ball.

I am interested to see what Indiana does in this playoff, with the massive talent advantage on paper.

I just can't see them winning a natty but maybe I'm wrong. Perhaps it really is a new era.

Indiana won’t shoot themselves in the foot the way those OU clodhoppers did…

I pull for any team that plays against big ten pukes. I personally don't have anything against Indiana, it is the other aholes in that conference.
But, if Indiana wins they will become like those other low lifes in that conference.

I hope Miami sends the butt nuts home with a loss.

Wrong.

The QB playing with confidence and defense is playing lights out since second half Oklahoma.
That was one half of football and it was just two days ago. You forgot to mention how they looked like arse in that first half.

Indiana isn't Chokelahoma. If they have their foot on Bama's throat...they will step down hard. I don't see them letting up or playing any sort of prevent if they have the lead.

Peaking.
