More likely Dabo, because he's a good, solid 'Bama man with a record of winning seasons.

I threw in boom because of saban connection. I think dabo is more likely, he has clemson at decent in a shite conference. He is basically going to be Miles for y'all. He will come in hair on fire and win some games he shouldn't and then in year 10 it all sets in.

It's cool. Alabama, LSU and A&M can be tDecline buddies...
...though if you think about it, A&M was never really flying high like LSU or 'Bama. It's more like they yanked back too hard on the yoke and sent the SwagCopter into a stall -- controlled flight into terrain.

Dabo will come in, "save the program," win us a single NC early on and it'll all be downhill from there?

Yep and to top it off UT will provide the 21-0 game for dabo

Will it be under Butch, or will they have hired the next big coach and be embarking on a restored Neyland-tier UT dynasty?

Bama is not getting 10 wins this year.
Auburn and State are sure-fire Ls.
A&M and Arky are tough matchups and Bama could easily drop one of them.
And LSU is bad, but the Hatter can still pull a rabbit out of his arse. Wouldn't count on that as a W.
8-4 looks very probable. 10 wins seems highly unlikely.

You very well may be correct in your assessment, but that makes y'all no different than any other highly successful program.
As I was watching that game yesterday, and as a rabid LSU fan, I know better than to be pulling for Ole Miss. Yet, I was. After the game, and upon reflecting on "why I wanted Ole Miss to win", I came to the conclusion that it had nothing to do w/heartbreaking losses to Alabama, or ultimately losing Saban to y'all, or running second to Bama for several years. It had more to do w/that passion with which Ole Miss played - that passion that you contend Alabama has lost.
It was SO evident, via Hugh Freeze's emotion after the game, and looks on the faces of the Ole Miss players, and the reaction of their fans.
As an LSU fan, I'll always hate both Ole Miss and Alabama. As a college football fan though, I'll always love seeing emotion defeat talent.
Hats off to Ole Miss, Hugh Freeze, and Oxford. You beat the best, and didn't even play your best game. It was a joy to watch, y'all should be proud, and I know y'all are just that.

Either you're a troll, or just a pathetic excuse of a fan. How did you ever survive the Shula years.

Doubtlessly by pulling for a different team.

headed for 2 bad years in a row by yer'alls standards.
how does that play out for Saban? does that make the next season 'vital success' or hot seat?
other than the deforestation of 'sippi what are you all thinkin.

I think Alabama has hit that point that every dynasty eventually reaches where the success destroys the team from within.
The players who built this program are long gone. Guys like Ingram, Julio, Barrett Jones, etc. Those players came to Alabama to build something. They bonded as a team in order to collectively accomplish something great. They knew nothing would be given to them.
The players we have now felt assured that if they simply came to Alabama they would leave with a couple national title rings and be drafted after their junior year.
I truly feel that the vast majority of our players really don't give two shits about the University of Alabama. It's a mere stepping stone in their path to guaranteed greatness. For example, Derrick Henry is taking selfies and posting videos during Saban's pregame Ole Miss speech. I mean WTF?
We can win 10 games from pure talent, but the days of SEC and national titles appear to be winding down. We have lost our last 3 games v. ranked teams. tDecline is real and it has begun.
heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, dd ...

Decline...it took everything Ole Miss had as a program to do that. They were all in, if they don't win they crash right back down to irrelevance. That was their Super Bowl, Daytona 500 and Olympic Games all rolled up into one, and it was very close to not being enough.
We get everyone's best shot, and way more often than not it still isn't good enough. It is a compliment to the program that we are at that point, and playing the schedule we do we probably don't win them all.
I think Ole Miss is in trouble this week, no way they don't suffer a letdown after that game, and it is going to be interesting to see how Alabama responds at Arkansas. Will we come out angry and wanting to get back out there and kick somebody in the teeth, or will we slop around?
It will be hard for MSU vs Auburn too, you will see if they are contender or pretender this week.

aban's biggest asset has also come back to bite him a little bit. He is leaning to heavily on recruiting nationally. That core group of in state players that have been the leaders and backbone of his early teams just seems to be lacking the last 2 yea
Or maybe it's all the 5* prima donnas the recruiting services are selling to Bama.
