Some people spend their gap year backpacking through Europe but Alabama spent it surprisingly winning the SEC and getting to the national championship game.

Should be refreshed for a return to natties in 2022.

Enjoy the moral W. 15 straight top 2 recruiting finishes all for that moral W. Congrats Mr. "wE wEReN'T sUpPosSEd tO bE HeRE"

One of the better coaching jobs by Saban. Bama fell victim to the injury bug that they often seem to escape. Would have been a different game. Great season nonetheless.

You haven’t won a legitimate natty since 2017 (that’s over half a decade)

I’d like to extend congratulations to Bama on this gap year.
Only the Tide could end Georgia’s 4+ decades long drought.

Next year do the Vols!

Who plays WR? Both might be back next year from the knees but it likely won’t be the same for a while even if they are.

Insanely impressive what Bama achieved this year honestly. Especially considering how they looked at certain points

I like the young guys even if they don’t come back. But yea, all of the sudden, our strongest position since 2018 is gonna be a relative weakness next year

Saban needs the stands to look like this in order to win natties now!

I'm never one to be like "poor ol' Bama" but this was an immensely flawed team that managed to win the best conference's championship game and play in the national championship. Just had some weird "gaps" in the roster due to how recruiting cycles and roster cycles line up. It happens. Still found a way to get that far by maximizing the veterans as much as possible...fell short partly because they leaned on those veterans to the detriment of getting their replacements ready this year.

Georgia earned it and as much as I'd love to have a 3rd game to settle the score I'm not so sure I want to risk whatever hex 2021 UGA has on knee ligaments on the guys returning in 2022.

It begins as a “gap year” and ends as a decline.
