It's a thread about Alabama and Texas and LSU fans come rushing in to make it about them when it has nothing to do with them.
That does in fact seem to be the behavior of one that is broken. At least Aggy is sticking it to Texas.

15 of 40 with 100 something yards and 3 turnovers isnt good. Lol.
People like to forget texas was only down 3 with 3 mins to go and erik anders happened.

Alabama led 24-6 at the half and won by 16.
Texas rallied but to say they would've won with Colt is just guessing to make Texas fans feel better about losing Colt and the game.

That’s like claiming a game was close - even though one team trailed for 55 of 60 minutes and never had a lead.
A1abana fans = Texas fans.
I bet Texas fans blamed tHeiR fReShMeN too.

They have never recovered from that and probably never will. Notice today they (and Kirk Bohls, the sip PR guy, who also writes for the Austin newspaper) still opine"what if" over something that happened 10 years ago. If Cart wasn't clobbered in that game, they still would not have won.
Your arse must be sore. What the frick else is there to talk about in sports right now? Are we supposed to be surprised that a guy working for the Austin paper is a “sip” supporter? Terrible post by a terrible poster.

I think you are right on with most of what you said. It was a country club environment at Texas. Mack is/was an elite recruiter, and obviously a good coach. With that said, the atmosphere was a difference maker when it came to the Horns and Sooners. How two programs with pretty much even talent could produce so many blowouts is crazy.
He went 7-9 against the Sooners. That’s not too shabby at all. The beatdowns in 2000 and 2003 were brutal. They gave up over 50 4 times out of the 9 losses.

Why does aggy think that TEXAS is going to disappear completely and forever?
Do they actually have the wild idea that TEXAS is going to be kicked out of the NCAA and fold up its sports tent?
It sure seems so.

What is a "sip," is it just cryptic Aggy gibberish like "gig'em" or is there any deeper meaning?

They have the ridiculous notion that UT students sat around sipping tea while aggy went overseas and won WWII singlehandedly.

That 1939 Aggie defense could have stopped Hitler's invasion of Poland if America hadn't been neutral

That Bama game probably did break Mack's tenure. Texas HS talent even as early as 2010 probably wasn't ideal for running a more pro-style offense
quote:
Ever since Vince Young left the UT program, it appears that Brown and his offensive coordinator, the much-maligned Greg Davis, have been attempting to move the Longhorns offensive scheme away from the Spread Zone Read offense in which Young excelled to a pro-style scheme that balances the pass with a power running attack.
Frankly, Brown’s decision was not an unreasonable one. Talents such as Young come along only once every generation and the big downside to the Spread is the injury risk that it places on the QB. Texas experienced that risk in spades during the early stages of the last year’s National Championship Game when QB Colt McCoy was injured on an ill-conceived option play. McCoy was UT’s most effective rusher last season out of the Spread.

I believe it’s a reference to t-sips/tea-sippers. It’s supposed to imply that UT pretends to be superior and carries itself/themselves as such.
These days, I find that funny. Many Aggies in here love to chime in about how much money they have to sign a coach, or about how large the endowment is. In many ways, TAMU is becoming the embodiement of why they hate Texas.
