I had my graduation ceremony in #14 and my grandma said you would think the Bulls play here as big as it is.

I have never read so much ignorance on the rant and that is saying something. I know your mind can only handle one sport at a time so I'll let you slide a little bit.

I have no need for your "slide" - but please feel better about yourself for having "allowed" it!
You obviously fancy your opinion to be of more value than it is.

You've already shown that your opinion means shite, since you hold the second highest revenue generating sport in such low esteem.

Irony, homophobia, special needs shaming and a lack of self-awareness all in one post. You're not PC, brah. No fricking Oakleys for you.

Basketball in only behind Football in America, that isn't an opinion. Your hoodrat comment was what really showed your ignorance though

I beg to differ. I simply stated that I do not care for the sport, nor the real or perceived glory it might bring to any institute of higher learning.

We can cheer the chess team if we all join together. Lets be real, aside from Kentucky no SEC team claims basketball as their bread and butter.

That's why I said it was the SECOND highest revenue generating sport. It still brings in a lot more money than any other sport beside football.

Alabama will, eventually, get around to building a new arena. And rest assured, it will be better than anything in the state of Mississippi, just like everything else we have.

So, from your logic, we are good in Football-let's support it. We are good in baseball-let's support it. We suck in basketball-so to hell with it and give all the March Madness and TV money to the ACC, BIg 10, Big East and all the other conferences ahead of the SEC. Give credit to the schools who are upgrading their facilities and trying to elevate their programs. Shame on Alabama Fans who say "I just don't give a Damn"

Does it make a profit pvilleguru? Is basketball a source of pride for your school? I only ask because you don't have a KY by your name.

I've been to several SEC basketball games in empty arenas, and listened to squeaky shoes for 2 periods too long. It's a chore to sit through a game.

If Basketball is the sport you love, I apologize and will not speak ill of it again.

Yes, it does. Bama makes a profit on only a few sports: football, basketball, gymnastics, and maybe softball and baseball.

If UA makes a profit on any athletic endeavor, aside from football, you have my most sincere apology.

In the interest of state economics, can you show me this profit? Just so I can be educated and spread the word.

What's wrong with the hump? Never been but it looks decent to me. The outside looks like a damn cinnamon roll though.

The men's basketball surplus grew to $8.2 million from $5.8 million behind growth from the media rights. Ticket sales dipped to $1.4 million in 2013-14 from $1.84 million the year before. Total revenue for men's basketball was $14.7 million.

We made $8.2m in one year with Anthony Grant as head coach.

I apologize. I was wrong. I still think basketball sucks, but you are correct about revenue.

The ONLY reason that the basketball ticket revenue is that high is because of Tide Pride and the points you get for having multiple sport season tickets. Most basketball games are pretty empty. Pretty sad because I remember in the early 2000s when the place was packed and and rocking.
