ETA thats 22 guys with major minutes
8 of those are RS SO and I left off kickers and missed Landry so that is 13 1st and second year players.
For comparison Auburn is playing regularly 26 1st and 2nd year players. Excluding Nosa Eguae, a RS So, and Ford, a Jr that is getting a medical RS this year, our entire DL is made up 1st and 2nd year players. Our secondary with the exception of Thorpe(he sucks btw) and Bell are also all entirely 1st and 2nd year players.
ETA: If you don't know the difference in playing with a true soph vs a RS soph then I have to question your knowledge as it pertains to college football.

I just want to focus on this season for now.
Repeating is pretty hard to do if you don't win the first one.

Get out here with that logic.

Most players need 2 years with college coaching and S&C to reach their potential, especially lineman.

I'll let you find the fail located within your sentence.

Its not really relevant though. You get the same amount of time on the field with a RS soph and a regular Soph. plus youre not taking into account the reason for the redshirt
Does a RS Sophmore in Montgomery have a big advantage over a true sophmore if the RS year he had a torn ACL?

I think I get it now.
Although Auburn's young players look fricking horrible now, they will be all-sec caliber in two years because they are 4&5 stars.
LSU wont be as good because their young players are using up all their talent as underclassmen, and will clearly fall off before they leave LSU.

Not at all. I think Randle stays. The experience/talent we have returning on D should allow us to sleepwalk through half of our schedule. Frankly, I don't see a team that is close to our level returning the same amount of talent with our experience.

Hebert, Blackwell, Peterson, JJ, JL, Stampley
Hebert - My fav player but just not a dominate guy. Perhaps smallest OL on the squad.
Blackwell - Converted DL who will be missed for his tenacity and leadership
Peterson - Great talent but inconsistent
JJ/JL - self explanatory
Stampley - Started out as starter and is now 3rd on depth chart.

I'm sure it'll be close. LSU loses I think 1 lineman, 2 qbs, maybe the number 1 receiver, 1 rotating DE, 1 starting CB and a backup CB.
3 linebackers.
2 are shitty though

This year is the only year that I can ever remember that if ANY player went out for a few plays that I truly sweated another guy coming in at ANY position. Amazing depth.

Not sure why everyone assumes that Bama has a huge dropoff next year. On offense, the two most important position/groups (QB & OLine) should be strengths. (Assuming BJones returns). RB won't have the incendiary player like Trent, but LSU seems to have done pretty well with a solid committee.
On D, the biggest hole in my mind is replacing Josh Chapman. If Saban finds another big plugger for the middle (Ivory? move Jesse inside?), the front 7 looks premier again. An ILB duo of CJ & Nico are by far the best in the conference. And the depth of talent at the OLB position that BAma has stockpiled, the LB corps as a whole should be a major strength. The secondary will have to replace Menzie and Swagpatrick, but the safety tandem of Lester and Ha Ha, along with Milliner & Fulton should be solid.

Because we're not drinking the kool-aid?
You won't be as good as this year, bottom line.

Chapman, Hightower, and Upshaw are gonna hard to replace.

and barron
That is 3 all SEC performers, 2 All Americans, just in your secondary.

I'm sure they will decent, but it's nothing like this years D.
