Am I in the wrong to believe it's not serious if they are treating him with an over the counter, topical ointment?

The truth hurts
JoePa was 7-6 last season with 3 losses to Top 10 teams, and 4-4 in the BigTen.
However, in the previous 5 seasons from 2005 to 2009, Penn State won 51 games, the 3rd most wins among BCS teams in that time period.

AJ McCarron looks like Brett Farve out there, in th/at, he is making good throws and he is making bad throws. And lije Farve, some of his bad throws are working because he is outarming them.
I can see why a coiach like Saban wont name him as starter, his nerves have got to be shot after every possession.
Fun for spectators though.

The truth that hurts is that Anthony Steen (#61 Right Guard) is getting his arse handed to him.

Come on man you know college football is a "what can you do for me now," game...PSU fans are prolly gettin tired of irrelvancy and are ready for him to get out as well...

I would say it's fair Joepa doesn't even look involved up there.

It's sad to see that program in the dumps so long because of a selfish coach who is trying to make his record unbreakable.

Warmack did miss a the same block twice that led to a TFL on T-Rich.
Steen pulled left, Warmack pulled right and missed...

Agreed run blocking is piss poor right now

It would be harsh if I was saying that about JoePa at age 68 and the man was just hoping to go out on a good note. He is 85 now. He is forcing everyone to treat him harshly just like Bowden did. Let me repeat that.....85 years old. He is "coaching" from a press box because it is literally life threatening for him to stand on the sidelines of a football game, you know the thing he is hired to do. He has not been on an in home recruiting visit in 4 years. It's as if PSU has accepted a self imposed NCAA recruiting sanction without doing anything wrong.

Glad to see he's playing. He's from Mississippi, and neither Ole Miss nor State offered him.

I guess at Penn State, winning is everything.

Yes.

JoPa record is definitely unbreakable in modern college football.
There are too many good programs now and coaches arent going to coach long enough.

Ha! X, that was my reply to your post yesterday that Paterno was running PSU into the ground. Did I change your mind or are you making fun of me?
I stand by my statement, btw. Paterno right NOW may need to go, but as of end of season 2009, the Penn State program was still in pretty good shape.
