Not gonna lie, heading into this past week I thought Alabama would handle Aggy and MSU as 2nd straight road game would be the landmine potential.
I don’t think Alabama’s plan against the air raid was technically strong in 2020. It was basically C2 man under 75% of the time which is really vulnerable to the crossing patterns and wheel route release by the back in the air raid favorite mesh play IF the offense can get adequate protection and the QB is seeing the field and delivering the ball on time.
Last year Alabama essentially said Clanga’s QB ain’t shite and they aren’t scared of any of your receivers. MSU is better on offense than they were a year ago though.
If Alabama’s offense trips over their own dick again or have protection troubles like the 2nd quarter against Florida and the 1st half against Aggy, MSU got a legit chance I think.

If the Bama team from last night shows up then this game will come down to the wire. If the Bama team from the Ole Miss game shows up then Bama wins by 28.

Last year at this time, State was a mess on offense. Guys were opting out or hitting the portal every week after the Arky game through the Vandy game.

If Bama shows up like last night and MSU plays the best game of their life, MSU wins.
If you think about it, it took a shitty showing for Bama and A&M's best game in years for A&M to win by 3 at the last second.
The talent is there and they will win as long as they don't quit. We'll find out if they quit if they lose to State.
