Curious, dp you guys like the new look on offense? It really is pretty to watch when Lane Kiffen has all cylinders firing but i also notice it can be ugly.

Which do ya'll prefer? The old multi pro or the new spread?

Sims and kiffen were fun to watch last year.

Coker doesn't have as many weapons. Ridley will be a stud.

You mean all of our exciting plays for negative yardage? How many illegal motion penalties? Turnovers? Or all of the above?

Yep coach Mac was the best player caller Saban ever had. Near 50/50 run pass balance. Plus he got the crystal balls.

Honestly i get a little sad when i see the USCs, OU's and Bamas of CFB running pass happy spreads. I just dont find it to be their identity.

It was pretty awesome with sims and coop. We've shown flashes this year, but we're horribly inconsistent and always have a few plays per game where the whole offense looks absolutely confused even getting lined up.

Would prefer more power running, but I don't get all the revisionist history over McElwain. He guided Bama to 12 points vs. a much worse UT team with better offensive talent.

McElwain was fantastic for Bama, but he was hardly without criticism in his time there. Kiffin doesn't do everything right, but he has hardly had the best QBs to work with, or OL for that matter.

And let's be honest. Sims should not have thrown 40 plus passes in Death Valley last year. That in my opinion is what made the game so close for us.

For all the ugly pop passes this season that have lost yardage and made Bama fans curse Lane - the game winning TD yesterday was setup by all those failed attempts when Tennessee bit on the fake pop and DH2 practically walked in.

Bama's play balance was 62% run against UT.

I guess compared to LSU, that is pass happy but under normal standards that is considered a run heavy game plan.

The old rope-a-dope. Keep running a play designed to fail to lull them into a false sense of hope!

LSU calls that the toss dive.
