Look he beat Bama with a backup QB. The commemorative cups will live forever. I'd hate to see anyone snatch him away from you.
How about another 10 years and $100 million? And include a hefty buyout this time. Please. It's the right thing to do.

I look at it this way - if Fisher stays at A&M he will never get fired as long as he’s able to produce good, top 10 finishes consistently. If he goes to LSU, he will be fired if he doesn’t win a championship in a couple of years

A&M has done all it reasonably should to get and keep Jimbo, and he’s done an amazing job. If he decided to leave, that’s up to him.
I would be sad to see him go, but absolutely no regrets. A&M has played it right.

C’mon fella. We all know LSU will never outbid Texas A&M for a football coach.
I would be stunned if LSU offered anyone a guaranteed deal for $100 million. Schools that funnel money through children’s hospitals don’t really have those kinda pockets.
But even if LSU did muster up such an offer, A&M would simply counter and exceed anything Woodward offers. Scott knows this.
What you’re seeing on your boards the last few days with all the Jimbo stuff is a realization that a huge hire isn’t happening. The fans are simply going down the list of coaches that fit the Woodward profile.

I know you started this thread for trolling purposes. I also think you and certain fan bases are jealous that we're not in the job searching mess. I've never seen a time where there are no homerun hires. Every coach that the masses believed to be really good have taken a dump on their programs as of late.

Guess the old saying money can’t buy you happiness is true? Never got why this is supposed to be an insult. It takes a lot of things lining up right to make for a successful championship season. Some schools seemingly luck into it with a shrimp boat captain that can barely speak English. We have not been so lucky.

LSU doesn't have "dumber" money?
If Woody can scrounge up a $100 million contract, and Jimbo wants to take it, I will be happy for the both of you. You'll be getting a first-rate coach and Jimbo will be getting ever richer.
The HC job at A&M comes with lots of money and anything a coach needs to be successful. I am certain we will find a qualified replacement.
