He's talking about the war period, Professor. No one GAF about where the term t-sip originated. It's why you use it that matters.

We use it because it's tradition. The war explanation was something that came up during the Vietnam era because aggies perceived them as hippies. I don't, and I'm sure most aggies don't either, call them teasips because we actually believe they didn't fight in WWII.

Same reason y'all call us "Aggy". Is it offensive? Not really. At least "tu" has been around for a century or so.

Well I think a lot of things the Aggies do are pretty dumb, so that is just kinda par for the course.

We just don't get this one. I'm pretty sure this "insult" was originally used for Nebraska fans. Auburn applied it to us, but I have no idea why. Maybe they think jambalaya smells like corndogs. That just kinda makes them stupid with bad taste in food.

barners

Not meant to be an insult. This is a reference to the barn burning game. Look it up.

coonass

Meh. I'm not one so idgaf if anyone calls me that.

gumps

Now THAT'S a real insult. fricking gumps.

Has to do with all the frying that takes place in your tail gating area, smell like corn dogs.

I guess corn dogs is the universal fried food due to the availability in gas stations when you travel.

Now you know.

You are welcome.

Right, I mean that is what I figured. But again, that just means that the Barners have terrible taste in food, and can't tell a fried hot dog from a fried catfish. Idiots.

It doesn't have to make sense, look at all the insults aggys throw towards The University of Texas' way...

Back to the OP.

We just like reminding the our younger and smaller brother where they came from. Virtually every tradition they have is based off of us in one way shape or form.

100 years ago they went by "Texas University" and only in the 20's did they start to go by the "University of Texas" in jargon. It's really no different than say "OU" is still the "University of Oklahoma". We just didn't decide to change what we called them because they decided they liked saying it a different way.

Other examples of our little bro's penis envy:

They used to go by "Varsity" and then changed to "Longhorns" to copy off of the name of our Annual.

Bevo was what they could form off the 13-0 brand we put in their nutless bovine the last time they stopped playing us as a reminder of the previous score.

"Texas Fight" is based off of "Farmer's Fight".

Their hand signal was in direct response to ours.

Their "Hex Rally" was a response to Bonfire.

The folks in Austin have done a great job of trying to convince the world that the State of Texas revolves around them and they are somehow superior to everyone. Even a few wayward Aggies have bought into it sadly. Doesn't change the fact they are younger, smaller, and have virtually no traditions or identity aren't traced back to being jelly of A&M.
