He came within 13 seconds of losing said national championship to a first-year coach you probably hate and disregard -- and if said coach had a decent defense, said national championship never would have happened. Just this year, he had his shite pushed in by a team who had their shite pushed in by said same coach. Then he proceeded to whine about losing his QB. Well, his QB going down had nothing to do with his soft arse defense. For these reasons and many more, he is overrated. Also, am I to understand that he is guaranteed $75 million, regardless? No way that ends badly.

It's the price of doing business these days.
Throw shade at A&M all you want. They made a solid hire. It may take him some time to get his players there, but A&M just got better.

Don't even rationlize with LSU fans. It's all sour grapes. Jimbo Fisher is the first national championship winning coach to leave one college for another college job. Last year they (without any contract discussions) would have voted 98% to 2% to take Jimbo over O, and now the spin is he has a bad team, contract is too high, etc.
It's not like fans on this board are directly paying the coaches out of their own spare change in their pockets.

my guess.....$6.5M - $7M per.
I also think he gets some other things he has been wanting that aren't contract related. We finally got rid of our AD who couldn't get upgrades done that are needed.
ETA rumor is he got a three year extension. He was under contract for another three years....so my guess it's basically a six year extension.
