That’s what I thought considering the sign DOES say, University of Texas and not Texas a&m.
But there is a school in Odessa/Midland that is UT related and not aTm related, correct?

Yes. Aggy’s branches are academic powerhouses named Prairie View and (formerly) East Texas State.

Also, UT is considered the flagship university for PETE in reservoir engineering, due to their history of producing incredible engineers that can find that Earl and reading well logs; they simply do it best!
LSU, considered the top drilling/ completions school, due to their proximity to the Gulf and having a well on-site in Baton Rouge; it’s no wonder an LSU/UT team is responsible for so much oil production and have made the USA the leading oil producer on the planet!
to all the LSU/UT grads that have made our price at the pumps decrease!

This has been an extremely entertaining thread.
I'll give the Ags that attempted to represent credit for stepping into the fire but even they know that was indefensible. They waited as long as possible hoping it would die or get anchored, then realized that wasn't happening. So deflect and try to hijack the thread... still hasn't worked.

So if TexasHorn is right, A&M is not even an independent school. They live off PUF managed and controlled by UT. A&M is basically a satellite campus for UT.
