1) I know JFF is the clear starter. Who are his backups say he gets injured?

2) who are the WRs that JFF will be throwing to and how deep is the receiver corps?

3)

1) Matt Joeckel, Luke's brother is the official backup I believe. Traditional pocket passer. Matt Davis and Kenny Hill are behind him and are more of the long term future at QB

2) Evans is back obviously. People should know him. Malcome Kennedy will take on a much bigger role. He made a big TD catch in the Bama game. Derel Walker, Sabian Holmes and Ed Pope are other guys already on the roster who could step up.

Then there's the newcomers. RSJ, Jaquay Williams, Sebastian Larue, Kyrion Parker, Jeremy Tabuyo and Quiv Gonzales make up a ridiculous group of newcomers at WR. I bet at least two of them will see major PT and be well known to fans who don't already know them from their recruitments

That was a quick off the top of the head rundown so I might be missing someone or something at WR

Is Evans that tall white dude at WR ? I didn't really follow aTm too much last year so I don't know much about y'all.

The backup to JFF is still unsettled. As of now it is probably Matt Davis but Matt Joekel was the #3 last year. Davis was a highly recruited dual threat QB that RS'ed last year but is still pretty raw. There are also 2 highly recruited true fish coming in the Fall but it would be unlikely they pull a shirt unless they had to. So in short there is depth but it's not proven, if JFF goes down A&M is still a bowl team but you can throw out any of the Title contention talk.

As for WR's the big stud is Mike Evans who led the team in receptions last year and is an absolute beast. Probably the most physical WR in the SEC and at 6'5 with a 40+ inch vertical he is a coverage nightmare. He's not a speed freak and he is still kind of raw but he can abuse a team. The next most experienced guy is Malcolm Kennedy who progressed nicely last year. His most notable moment was catching the last TD against Bama with a pretty over the shoulder grab.

That's where it gets interesting. The talent level at WR is significantly upgraded from last year but the experience is a huge dropoff. A&M lost 3 starting Sr's at WR. A&M had the best WR class in the country coming in highlighted by Ricky Seals Jones but also containing several other strong 4*'s with size and speed. How they perform though is hard to say, in the end A&M needs at least one or two to step up (along with at least one or two from the rest of the WR corps on campus).

The X factor is A&M added Cam Clear at TE. He was a former stud recruit at Tennessee that got kicked off the team and went JUCO. He's a real monster physically at 6'7 with hands and size. Last year A&M was rolling out TE's that were more the H Back type so it will be interesting to see how they use the TE. It is also noteworthy that there are multiple RB's that catch the ball out of the backfield and that will likely still be about 20% of the passing attempts.

So in summary if JFF goes down A&M is screwed. If he remains healthy though his talent along with the RB's in place and the talent at WR is more than enough to lead the SEC in offense again, I would expect they average about 40 a game and will be able to score even against Bama. The real concerns for A&M is the defense.

Evans is tall, but not white (though he may be mixed--idk tbh). Wears #13.

Nope. The Heat. Good news, you'll make it to the finals. Bad news, you're going to get the collective Alabama black snake of the Miami Heat shoved down your throat. I'm looking forward to Memphis fans crying after coming so close. Thanks, ill hang up and listen.

You do realize the worse loss of the season was in Memphis right? Your team doesn't have the bigs to score on the inside. If the heat are off on the 3 y'all are fricked. It just so happens we have the best perimeter defense in the league as well

However, this is the SECr and I am asking about the Aggies and their skill position players. MSB bro

Here's the non-aggressor thesis version.

1. Right now, the better passer is Matt Joeckel, but the better overall playmaker is Matt Davis. I would not be surprised if Kenny Hill ends up at #2. I would be really surprised if Kohl Stewart is in an Aggie uniform next season.

2. Base offense per the spring is a 3WR, 1 TE set.

Split End is Mike Evans (6'5), followed by Edward Pope (6'4)

Z-Outside is Derel Walker (6'1), followed by Jaquay Williams (6'3), and Sabian Holmes (5'11)

Slot is Malcome Kennedy (6'0), followed by LeKendrick Williams (5'8 - fastest player)

Tight End is Cameron Clear (6'6), followed by Nemo Hicks (6'4)

As far as the incoming freshmen not already on campus, here's my best guess:

Sebastian Larue (5'11) - Will play immediately, possibly taking the starting spot from Derel Walker if he picks up the offense quick enough.

Kyrion Parker (6'3) - Will play immediately but likely will not start. Outside Receiver

Jeremy Tabuyo (5'11) - Depending on how well he blocks, he may play immediately at slot or may be limited to special teams, but he will play.

Laquivionte Gonzales (5'10) - Will likely be a starting returner, but he really needs to put on more weight to play significantly at WR. He's only 148 lbs. now.

Ricky Seals-Jones (6'7) - Yes, you read that right. He grew 2 inches since national signing day. He will play wherever he presents the worst possible matchup for the opposing defense and will start as soon as he has refined his route running.

Quiv can absolute fly. HS highlights are sick. Suspect he may see kickoff returns..

Of frosh, suspect RSJ, Jaquay and Quiv may see PT.
