As for the original question, I met several Bama fans at the game this year and all but one was very nice and complimentary on the move to the SEC. I didn't see much arrogance at all.. As for tsips, if you knew nothing about college football, you would think Texas has won every national championship after meeting one.. Humility is not in the vocabulary of longhorn fan.

I have no idea what you are talking about it. LSU is a destination job, as is A&M while things are going well. The only reason to leave either school is to go to the NFL.
LSU is a better football school than A&M. That cannot be argued.

At the same time, no doubt, there is a history of UT "looking down" at A&M, simply as a matter of class & accomplishment. For instance UT has been a member of the AAU since 1929. A&M since 2001 or 2. UT got more of the PUF.
No doubt that A&M was at a disadvantage because of the extra benefits that came to UT as a result of being the State's pre-eminent University. But A&M has overcome in a lot of ways due to the decision to become a more normal college. Nonetheless, some the old prejudices still exist, even though, as a result of A&M modernizing and shaking off some of their cult-like characteristics, the two schools most likely have more in common than ever in history.
