Exactly the problem. Our yell leaders do a lot of work, have a lot of roles.
It isn’t “yay team let’s build the same people pyramid I built as a cheerleader in high school and look pretty!”
Our guys have to know a couple dozen cheers, and all the hand signals, and to be perfectly coordinated. It’s hard.
Why are most top chefs in the world men and not women though women traditionally cook in households? Same reason, at upper levels of any activity men taking it seriously usually dominate.
Y’all just don’t get it because no one this side of a European soccer league appreciates complex cheers like we do.

If you didn’t notice gay is cool right now. Gay is in. Gay just won the first “Civil Rights Movement” in decades, a fact that will be celebrated for decades.
So have fun with the gay thing, we don’t care. Especially because none of the yell leaders are actually gay, they get more women than anyone at A&M.
Actually that’s not true, like all southern teams some of our fans are homophobes and THEY probably care. But they shouldn’t be allowed to have a soapbox with such shitty world views, and so by sticking to our traditions we tell the homophobes across the SEC to go frick themselves.

It’s ‘cause they are Aggies! All schools with an Aggie for a mascot cater to people who want to grow up and live in a land where men are men and sheep ( or their livestock of choice) are nervous! Theyd whether hear a fat calf bawl than a pretty girl sing every day of the week. Each to his own.....I’m not judging...but if the Aggie cheerleaders followed the tradition of consisting of things a young man would like to breed with at Texas AM they wouldn’t be men they’d be cows and sheep and pigs....a person might be able to frick a cow but dressing it up in a cheer leader outfit is tough.....hard to hold a pom Pom with a hoof.

The gay insult shtick towards A&M is very high school esque. Which fits well for this board since the majority of posters here never went to college
