Might be the best I have ever seen in college football given what happened on previous play, time left in the game, the need to get the ball back, was a bowl game, etc... etc.. The only way that could be better is if it was in the SEC or BCS championship game.

Pretty amazing.

Clowney is a grown arse man.

Would have loved him to sign with Alabama.

You always here about a guy "taking over a football game".

Well, my fellow SEC Ranters, this was a perfect example of that.

He would have been better utilized in a Bama defense. He isn't reaching his potential in the medicore USCe program.

Get over yourself gump. The guy is still going to be the #1 pick next draft and dominating in the NFL. Not everyone needs Alabama to succeed, just look at all the flops in the NFL.

He'll never win a championship at the college level.

That doesn't have anything to do with what you said.

Very few college football players ever do. I think he has done just fine at USCe.

Since Clowney isn't around many players of the same caliber, he's asked to do more and is at higher risk for injury. The Visor is known for running the wheels off his star players. Hopefully he can make it to the NFL.

Better utilized, how so? What else can the guy do...he had 4.5 sacks vs Clemson and the best hit I have ever seen in the bowl game.

Mediocre? Historically, yes...at best. But he has been a part of back to back 11 win seasons and top 10 finishes. That's a little better than mediocre by any logic.

Yup. Saw Spurrier out there upset, got him mad, blew thru the line, knocked the guys helmet off and picked up the ball with one hand.

There aren't many players of his caliber on any team in the country.

I think clowney is doing just fine where he is.

The goal for college football players should be to get an education and to maximize your infield potential. If that results in a championship then great.

Clowney will be a beast in the NFL. Crazy to think that he has not reached his full potential body size. He could pack on more pounds.
