Only thing Muss would gain is money., which we’d likely match.

He had the #2 recruiting class last year and has two 5 stars committed for 2023.

I had no idea Arkansas was good at something.

Ah yes... The base an entire fanbase off of one message board approach. Never fails

I think Texas is going to take their time, and if anything, the guy in the best position is Rodney Terry (the current interim head coach). If he can win big with this team, there will be no reason not to give him a shot next year.

It'll be a complete rebuild after this year after draft/graduation and also inevitable transfers and decommits from recruits, so that will probably deter guys like Muss and Oates leaving programs they've already helped become elite contenders.

Muss might not get the call because he looks likely to choke someone as well. He has already started a brawl that led fans onto the court once this year.

Oates going to get a burnt Orange coat

No argument from me. But not kicking the tires would be negligence on our part. Maybe the wife hates Arkansas. Maybe he’s had a falling out with the A.D. or donors.

Or maybe he’s trying to escape a redhead local high school volleyball coach.

But yes, it’s clearly a long shot.

It's pretty common knowledge that his wife loves Fayetteville. Her and JB Hunts daughter are best friends. They're seen out shopping all the time and Muss constantly brags on how much he likes Hunter Yurachek.

none of that shite matters unless UA ready to pay double.

b/c that's what it's gonna cost. maybe more b/c of the lack of income taxes.

They will pay him more once he starts making trips to the final four.

You might as well post those players' number of Twitter followers. Just as irrelevant.

For the record, that poster was replying to the statement that there would be "no rational reason" to leave. Those were reasons

FWIW - I agree with y'all. There's no question Arkansas is a better program as a whole now and has basically always been a better program than Texas (sans the Stan Heath and Mike Anderson years). I don't think Musselman would leave not only for Texas, but for anywhere unless he has some sort of NBA aspiration (albeit I admittedly don't know much of the process of which type of coaches from the NCAA that NBA teams typically court)

Texas probably won't kick the tires with Musselman. Truth be told, I think they're going to give Rodney Terry every opportunity to hold on to the job based on how he performs the rest of this year. It's very easy for a team to come unglued after something like this happens out of nowhere, so I'll be impressed if he can just get Texas to .500 in conference and in the dance at all.

Was there not an incident with fans running on the court after Muss was turning around pointing and yelling at them?

The San Diego State fans have a grudge with Muss going back to his Nevada days and probably his playing days.

The fans were heckling Arkansas players in a very small arena where it was close to the bench. One of them was on TV but when Arkansas won, got pissed off and began running towards the Arkansas staff on the court.

One story with less than a minute left in the game and SDSU ahead by four, the head coach waved bye to one of the Arkansas players.

I didn't see any footage of Muss yelling at anyone but he did make a gesture with his fingers shaped as an L to San Diego State fans as he left the court.
