I credit the home crowd for A&M not giving up and causing those miscues (which they were caused, not given).

The crowd had zero factor in those. The tip was an unlucky play for us. The fumble was a gift from us (also a great play by the defender). The punt was poor execution.

The crowd doesn't cause those plays. Those kind of plays bring the crowd back into it. The crowd was pretty quiet when we were on offense in the second half.

Well the blocked punt sure woke them up. How they failed to capitalize on that is a criminal offense.

(Granted, Texas D is good but still..)

Losing to Arkansas happens once a decade and next year won't be it.

How many times in the last decade has A&M played in Fayetteville?

SCar's never beaten us at Kyle Field.

Good luck beating Sellers. That dude is good.. as are some of the other freshman they have..

As for Kyle Field causing the mistakes Ewers made.. yeah, not so much.. he did that all by himself.. the crowd was pretty much MIA at that point.. he just made a horrible decision on the pick. The fumble was a good defensive play.. he was trying to go down.

The punt was just another boneheaded mistake.. your coaches clearly saw a weakness and took advantage of it.. so credit to them.. but that didn't have anything to do with the location or crowd..

Texas beat themselves on those plays.. just like they did against Georgia.. just like they did at other times this season.

We were up 17-0 at half..

For whatever reason, Ewers seems to play better on the road, so maybe the score is closer if it's in Austin.

I don't really understand it to be honest.. Kyle Field is a great atmosphere.. no one here will deny that.. but it doesn't seem to translate into the W column as often as it should..

Your points have made me change my mind about the Texas game, but there's no denying Kyle Field is not an easy place to win in at all. Look at 2022...all of our wins came at home (minus Arkansas). We absolutely sucked that year. Completely awful.

I contend there is statistically no evidence that Kyle Field is any more effective than any other D1 home field advantage. And even less effective than Texas if we look at the numbers.

This is just y'all going around celebrating yourselves without any foundation.

Imagine being in the SEC championship game and the CFP and you're more concerned about your rival's schedule and coach next year.

This is a terrible look and you need some therapy.

That said, I don't disgree. I think it's possible we lose every road game and might drop USC at home.

Talk about talkin' outta both sides of one's mouth. Possibly you're the one needing therapy. We're just laughing at you.

I think it's a good environment regardless of the outcome and that's what the attention is on...and it's not just from Ags but from pundits and writers outside of A&M.

I also read some of your fans comment about the atmosphere so maybe you should take this up with them.

No, you're upset that people don't talk about DKR the same way.

But that's what happens when your plan is to run out of a giant uterus built in your stadium.

Not exactly. It is a great environment. But the Aggie intent of saying it is to imply the other team has no chance to win. And there is just no correlation there.

Look at 2022

A&M Wins at Kyle Field
vs Sam Houston
vs UMass
vs Miami (finished 5-7)
vs LSU (finished 10-4)

A&M Losses at Kyle Field
vs Florida (finished 6-7)
vs Ole Miss (finished 8-5)
vs App State (finished 6-6)

I see 1 good win and 2 bad losses..

A "good environment" means the crowd is a factor longer than 1 quarter. Even Michigan's crowd lasted a quarter and a half.

Who's saying that? Isn't it always considered better to play at home?

Since our offense was impotent it was enough to win, but Sark's vaunted offense managed just 17 points. The fewest this year behind Georgia (15). So what happened there?

Sark's offense should be vaunted but thanks to Ewers it's not. And that's on Sark. Texas is all defense.

17 points was enough, even though Ewers gave y'all 7. Your offense was about as lost as it gets.

FIFY.

Every time I go on this board, there's just more and more Longwhorn threads.

I hope you're all happy, SEC brethren. Look what we've done to ourselves.

With a transfer portal and NIL for Ags, I’m not sure how anybody can prognosticate the future for any team.
