I don't see how you can possibly start Weigman after last week.
Because the coaches and team see things in practice that we as fans don't see. For all we know, Reed is getting half of his passes picked and Conner is killing it this week. I think SCAR is going to be ready for Reed's read option. We might need a legitimate passing threat if we're going to get Moss going. Klein needs to use 2-step drops, 2 reads, then take off. While Conner isn't as quick as Reed, he isn't slow by any stretch. If his first two reads are covered, he can take off and get 5 yards.

If Weigman and Reed are really as "Team before me" as they say they are, it won't be a problem.
Yeah, the team is in a great mindset and honestly back both QBs. Bottom line is they trust Elko and will play hard for whichever QB is leading them.
People questioned Weigman starting Mizzou and then they shut up. I see no problem from the team. Elko has proved if it aint working with Weig, he'll make a change, and vice versa.

I seriously thought State was a good team and just happened to be coming up short. I figured the ball would bounce their way soon, but shows what I know.

Fair enough.

Look at it from the defensive side. Elko possibly sees something about the USCe defense that he thinks could shut down Reed more easily than Weigman.

If it were me, I'd give Weigman the opportunity to get the short, high-percentage passing game going before resorting to the read-option. SCAR has been training for Reed all week.

Elko probably wants both options - Weigman and Reed. If Reed struggles, sending in Weigman against that pass rush is a death sentence. I imagine he starts Weigman but gives him a short leash.
I fully support starting Reed from here on out. Weigman has shown he can’t handle the pressure in big games and is turnover prone.

Reading this thread, it sounds like everyone in it is trying to win last week's game and not THIS WEEK's game.
The QB switch worked great for you last week, but you've got an entirely different challenging in front of you THIS WEEK.

This is what I'd do. SCAR's DL is too good to do 5-step drops with 4 reads. Give Conner 2-step drops with 2 reads, then take off if they aren't there. I'd only resort to Reed's read-option if nothing else was working. Regardless of time, Weigman is still a better passer than Reed. Marcel just has the better legs when the protection breaks down.

TAM loses 2/3 of it last games - USCe or Auburn get them and Texas beats them. Aggie end of year roller coaster.

I think Weigman gets eaten alive if they ask him to sit in the pocket.
Reed not only gives you 2- dimensional in run game (qb and rb), he also makes it easy to roll him out and give him the option to run vs pass out of the pocket

So, mathematically speaking, it is still possible to lose two of the last three....

Blowouts only happen in the Big12. They are rare in the SEC. A big win is by two scores.

Plenty of blowouts this year in SEC
SC - Ole Miss
Mizzou - A&M
Mizzou - Bama
Georgia - Texas
