Agreed. SCar's DLine is no joke.

I think Weigman will get the start. We can't go into the game expecting to ram the ball down a prepared defense's throat from the word go. Reed's still a question mark as a passer, and I expect Elko to give Weigman the start to see if he can spread it around and loosen things up for the run game. If he plays as poorly as he did through the first 15-20 minutes of this game as he did against LSU, then bring in Marcel.

I don't see how you can possibly start Weigman after last week. That's the kind of shite that a coach can lose a locker room over.

If Weigman and Reed are really as "Team before me" as they say they are, it won't be a problem.

The opposite. With Walker out in the 1st half you should play Reed, then bring in both Walker and Weigman in the 2nd.

And you've played arguable the 4 worst defenses in the league. That is you've gone up against the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th defenses respectively. Of course your offensive numbers are going to look good.

That is true. Although A&M rushing 200+ yards against them definitely skews that statistic.

Yes, we're very good at the run game on both sides of the ball. But is SCar a run-heavy team?

If A&M takes away the run, Sellers will have pass in obvious passing downs. A&M D will tee off against them if they are one dimensional. SC has given up 5 sacks/game on average in SEC play

Two 300+ rushing yard games against two bad teams skew those numbers. Remove UF and McNeese St and the average goes down to 188/game. Your run game struggled against both Arky and Msst and they have terrible defenses.

Arkansas doesn't count. Everything struggles against Arkansas when we play them at JerryWorld.

A&M is walking into different scenario than prior games against SC. This one is in November, is at night, and means something. It won't be the stadium you're used to.

SC's team and fanbase will be hyped as hell. They'll play with nothing to lose whereas A&M has everything to lose this game. It will be a tough game.

Stats are only for conference games so McNeese isn’t in those stats. Arky and Ms State both played A&M pretty close, I’ll give you that. Arkansas always plays us close and State game had Weigman who has been inconsistent but give credit to State. Both our “bad” rushing games still had 130 yards in each

I agree with that. But that being said, this is a bad matchup for SCar's offense. I think (hope?) that we wear them down offensively and take the crowd out of the game defensively.

That sort of thing is totally overblown, P4 CFB players are closer to being pros now than ever before and the vast majority understand why the coaches play one player over another.

The days of kinda being stuck at a program where you may not see playtime or doing a traditional transfer and having to sit out yet another season are gone. If either Weigman or Reed feel like they won't be the guy they can portal to wherever they like after the season, but it won't affect the rest of the players at all.

A&M wins 24-14.

I've been picking A&M by 10 for a week now.
